Ok - Just returned from a two week business trip that included 8 days of working the SEMA show.

Made some connacts for Custom Brakes, Custom Clutches and fly wheels.
So the question is - who would be willing to get into a group buy in.
I will make the deals and design-deside on the parts after some in put from you all. This will not be cheap but will be over the top and HIGH Proformance.

And you guys down-under can get in on the brakes real easy, the brakes will be made in Aussie land, so you can buy direct from there if we get enough interest.

I will do up a web page on my site and show more details in a week or so, this is just a who's interested thread. All orders will be perpaid before I order the parts.

Thoughts on Brakes are:
Bigger rotors with stock early calipers this will be a four wheel disc set up going to try and use stock E30 calipers will require the use of 15" dia wheels minimum.

Thoughts on Clutches:
They can make any flywheel in house, steel or billet aluminum. All their flywheels will accept any of their 7.5” performance clutches or their 5” racing clutches. With one to 3 pressure plates in the clutch pack.

I collected a lot of info and cards from people on brakes – clutches and wheels, as these seem to come up in threads a lot.

I am really interested in bigger brakes and a better clutch so thought I would see who else was seriously interested. Cost for a four wheel aluminum hat and steel rotor kit should be around $800.00 or so if we get enough people to order at a time. Custom flywheels and clutch set up should be $1000.00 to $1200.00 or so with 10 people for the buy. Prices seem high, but remember these are custom pieces done in short runs. Clutches can take 300 HP to 1000 HP depending on the pack setup choosen.

My best friend does the same stuff to your specs at prices that don't require a group buy. Seriously, we all know how hard it is to get 10 people to do anything especially when there's money required. He can probably get you a clutch and flywheel for half of that. He's covered up with work though, so it might take 3 months. www.millersmule.com

I just dumped a shit load into stocks, hopefully my return will put me in the run for a house in the next year or two. No more money on mods for me, Im done with it ( so I say).

I checked out his site. Looks like top notch stuff there. Has he ever considered aluminum rotor hats?

Yes and we're actually thinking of something even sweeter than that....its hard to find the time though when people can't get enough of what you're already offering. He's mostly Fiat stuff at the moment but is getting into E30 M3 and with my motivation hopefully some 320i as well.

Do the house thing - your car is perfect! I finally purchased about 8 years ago and my BMW was happy not to be outside all the time. Wish I would have done it sooner. Once you get a house, you will be dropping most of $$ on home improvements, but your returns will be a lot bigger, I was surprised how much I could write off with the house. Looking at this picture I am kind of diggin the BBS airdam over the Alpina - Still have the BBS - humm
