I have sealed/weatherproofed with clear Loctite adhesive (good for fishtanks). Now it's an absolute solid Hella foglight. Make sure if you do buy used foglights that the glass isn't open and is sealed otherwise water/moisture will get in. Also you don't want the lens to break out and fall on the road with old foglights, it can happen since the adhesive ages (10-14 years old).

I have a foglight bracket for the passenger side.
Pictures of foglight bracket. No damage on the actual rectangle bracket. There is a crack on the angle piece as shown in the first picture, this does not affect functionality and I will superglue it excessively. Also the one on your bumper is most likely good.
