View Full Version : Spotted Zinno Red E30 M3 in Milwaukee
1990m3 11-06-2007, 07:57 PM I'd like to check out the rollcage in your car as I'm looking into one for mine.
What you had--
-45 Southbound around 3:30pm, you split on 94 East to MKE
-Crooked Borla Muffler
-Lowered Suspension
-stock looking wheels
-4-point bolt in cage
I was in the 325iX, if you're around contact me please -- nice car too, wish I was driving mine when I saw you.
david55838 11-07-2007, 02:30 PM When did you get the ix? Got Hakks?
1990m3 11-07-2007, 03:52 PM got it a few months ago...don't have snow tires. Unless someone local has some cheapies I'll be running all seasons through the winter. Got the car, isn't that good enough? :)
quillbro 11-13-2007, 05:49 PM did you do anything to your ix yet??? I know you have the mod bug.
Hey this is an aside, but i was wondering if youve ever done a rear wheel bearing?? haha im thinking of doing mine. Everyone tells me they are an absolute bitch to do but i dont know, with the right tools and the right amount of penetrating oil anything can be done right?
1990m3 11-13-2007, 11:05 PM you definitely need the right tools. I have done them but on a hydraulic press with the trailing arms off the car, it was still a bitch to do.
I am not touching the iX, I just got the swapped car back in action and the iX will stay nice , stock, and reliable.
Give me a call, I need to get your book back to you
quillbro 11-13-2007, 11:36 PM Now that you mention it... that book would be nice for my upcoming project. Maybe they have a write up in there... anyway how did the vanos workout?
Can you get together sometime this week? maybe over a beer or coffee? (prefferably coffee i have some weight i need to lose)
1990m3 11-13-2007, 11:43 PM did the vanos swap, turned out I had plugged catalytic converters. fabricated a new exhaust and it's all good now, and sounds the part as well.
you can drink whatever you want, I can probably meet up on thursday evening or something. it's in my car so you can have it anytime.
quillbro 11-14-2007, 01:59 AM damn that kinda sucks to go through all that work when it was just bad cats... oh well at least you have another vanos unit? I bet the engine flows alot better now.
Yeah, well cool, i'll give you a call Thursday, later man
