Looking for a low mileage E36 M3 1996-99 with no sunroof. Prefer light colors and few options. Will pay silly money for the right car.

My friend has a 95 m3 with no sunroof and cloth interior. How much are you paying? The car is in pristine condition.

96 M3, Arctic on black, 5spd, no sunroof, lux package with wood delete interior/mesh grill, 95k miles. Plenty of upgrades including suspension and common maintenance areas, always babied, garaged during winter.

If you are interested, let me know and I will provide more pictures. Or make an offer. :cool

Thanks,
John

Vibes:

I am looking for 2 cars (one for me and one for my wife). We would like to do some occasional autocross besides daily driving. I like the idea of the cloth interior as it should make for a lighter car, but what engine size does the '95 have? Didn't it change from 3.0 to 3.2 liter in 1996 and therefore the '96 -99 would be better for my use?

I would pay $5K over whatever the going market is for cars that fit our purpose. What is your reaction to my offer?

My offer is serious. Why would you say it's a scam? Please don't insult others when you don't know what you are talking about. I am interested in Calypso's car and will go the extra $5k. In fact if it didn't have the 97K miles I'd go more.

Did you read the bottom of my post..where I said it was a joke. It was just the terminology you used.

Very sorry. Not up to speed on posting protocol. Finding no-sunroof cars is driving me nuts. It's approaching winter here and I hoped to use the cold months to prepare some cars for next season. I'm having a lift installed in some extra space that I have along with some nice shop equipment. But I never thought it would be so hard to find the right cars to work on. I'm getting a little short tempered as a result. Again I apologize.

No prob. I'm in the same boat. I thought selling my old car would be the hard part..but finding the right new car is much harder. Good luck.

Hmmmm. I've got a 95 no sunroof and cloth/alcantara seats with 75k on it...

Not looking to sell, per say - but if I can't refuse....;)

Thanks for responding. That's a tough call. Some say the 3.2L has some extra torque that might be useful in autocross while others say it doesn't matter. For the time being I'm focusing on '96+ cars.

I have a car that has been roaming around this forum...

A 95 Sunroof delete that is Cosmos/Modena(1999 interior).
2940# with 1/2 tank of gas and power vaders and a full interior.
40k mile S50, two weeks old and makes great power.(runs door to door with low 13 second cars up to ~100mph)
130k miles on body
Ground Control Track kit
Diffsonline 3.64 40% lockup

Three sets of lightweight wheels, two are forged 18x9 SSRs and two sets of tires.

It set a TTD track record at Rockingham with the old motor(189whp dynoed at the track a few weeks before it spun a rod) on nearly stock springs and Bilsteins.

It is still in TTD :)

Thanks for the lead. Yes the color is not perfect, but perhaps I could live with it. At least the interior is a great color. But there is the issue of sedan vs coupe. Anyone know the actual weight difference? I can't find it anywhere. Sorry to be so anal about all this. I realize that driver skills are more important than small differences in cars. It's just my nature to do everything the best I can.

So far I have Calypso's car (white coupe, no suroof)) - that is if he answers my message. And I've located a green non-sunroof coupe.

Thanks also to those in CO who have offerred their help. I will contact you soon. The lift arrived today. Need to get the floor finished and the lift installed while still looking for cars. Then will start asking more questions.

TMK - Sedans are actually stiffer and better suited for track/autox. Stonger B piller is the reason I believe.

Thanks,

K

Are you in NJ? How do you feel this car would suit as a DD?

the car was used as a DD ... its a garage queen .. never been tracked at all. would be a killer track car too tho ... its fast. yes i live in NJ. ive had 4 major surgeries to my spinal cord in the last 3yrs. unfortunately .. i've had little time to enjoy the car. my neck/spine cant take the rawness of an M3 ... sad as that may be ... i might look to trade it for an automatic 7 or 5 series. god i dread the thought.

im a man in my late 30's my street racer days are LONG GONE. It's a two owner car ... im the second owner.

Ive got a 99 Alpine that I just bought last year. It had a few miles shy of 20k miles. Now it has 26k. Most of it was driving to school which is the one thing that just kills me about this low mileage car. Seeing the mileage go up :mad:mad Car was garage kept whole life and I still have everything including the window sticker and the tapes that came with the car. I purchased it from the original owner which makes me the second owner. Mulberry vaders are a rare find and are not heated. No sunroof btw :redspot Car is mostly stock as well with the exception of UUC motor and tranny mounts, headlights and an alarm. Just curious as to what I can expect from you not really looking to sell. I love this car. :)

James,

I got your email. I think I spoke out of line earlier, and I suppose I can't portray my sarcasm too well over the internet. I am not interested in selling my car, it means far too much to me. I do apologize.

If you find a car in the Carolinas and want someone to take a look at it, please feel free to contact me.

Eric
