Parts that it's coming with:

The paint is in rough condition from fading, and the body has 2 flaws (6" dent down the left side) and some light rusting (nothing deep just from a couple paint chips).

The car runs like a champ, very dependable. Has all power locks, power windows, power sunroof and power seats. Comes with front and rear disc brakes which are all in good condition and the car has plenty of stopping power and ABS for the winter and wet months. The vehicle has a good safety inspection until 08/08.

The interior can use some TLC but other than that nothing a bit of elbow grease cannot remove.

I have some money sunk into this car, but I just want to know what I can get for it. This is NOT an AD! But this will be what the Ad looks like for the most part. How much do you guys/gals think I can get for this car? And is there anything else I should ad to it all?

BTW, I am getting rid of it soon because I'm getting a 4door E30 :)

Thanks for looking everyone!

Looks alright, though it is just 525i not 5.25. The e30 will be a fun little car ;)

As for the price, I personally wouldn't pay more than $3000 for it, though I think the car is probably worth more in the neighborhood of $2500. Purely guessing, so if someone can chime in with a better estimate, your probably better off.

M20 auto - slowest of the US E34's.

What happened that made it need a head rebuild at 90k? These engines are supposed to last 4-5 times that before touching the head.

It's a 2.5L, fyi.

M20 heads had a casting problem where the space under the cam journal would crack and leak. This is a common reason for head replacement on these cars.

If it was just a head gasket, I'd guess frequent short trips (90K on a 18 year old car) or overheating are the culprits.

My uncle bought the car back in 1995 at about 50k, and drove it for about 35k. The vehicle had overheating problems and overheated (in 1999) which caused the head to warp supposedly. He took everything apart, bought a rebuilt head (the works) and was going to put it back together but never found the time to. Well I started working on cars back in 2003, and he always joked around with me to put the car back together. The fact that the vehicle was in his driveway I never wanted to. heh. Well I asked him what he was going to do with the car (Feb '2007) and he told me it was going back together. The car sat a bit longer until about June 2007 which then we were talking and he was like, "if you want that car you can take it. Just have it towed and I'll give you the title". Well after that I just had the car towed to the shop I worked at, put it back together in about 2 days after hours. Bought all new water pump, timing belt, etc etc. I didn't register the car immediately and drove the car around the block to make sure it didn't have any other problems, bought new headlights cleaned up the interior a bit, put a headunit in and such. And the rest is history. I love the car and my girlfriend loves the car too, but I just want the E30. And I need a daily driver because I don't like taking out my Sentra much.

Cliffs: uncle bought car 1995. Overheated in 1999. Car sat for about 7-8years in a driveway. Gave the car to me in 2007. HI.
