Sweeetttt!!:) Also, I called a local NAPA and they said they had a Bosch OEM o2 sensor for $69 that will just plug in.Could that be?BMW wants $160 dealer cost:eek:

As long as it plugs in and you don't have an extra foot or so of wiring to worry about.

Thanks for the help.I am tired of a check engine light for an aging o2 sensor.

Did you have the code reset? I know sometimes after correcting an error reported by the CEL, it would either take X amount or car starts to clear itself, or have the codes reset...

Yes I have a code reader and have just reset it.I have not driven it yet though.I have the peake reader but I also have a more thorough obd2 reader that monitors everything while running but every time I plug it in the obd2 port inside the car next to the cup holder I cant get a read. Why is that?

Not sure. Have you tried either A: Trying your reader on another OBD2 vehicle; or B: Tried another OBD2 reader on your car? Point is, just trying to see if the port or your reader is the problem...

I just finished taking it for a drive and it came on again.Bank 2 must be the passenger side.

I guess this is just going to make me crazy.I just replaced it and the light still comes on.Can it be that because I got it from NAPA that it doesn't work?I checked all the numbers and it has the exact plug for my car so it just plugged in.

Well, logically, it is an OBD component, and most cars on the same OBD system will usually have the same connectors. Yo9u may want to have an indy run a diagnostic on it to be sure. You stated you have a "more thorough" obd reader that cannot get a read, there may be another problem...

My peake hooks up the the round plug under the hood. My obd2 reader has a square connector and tried that with the one in the car. From what I understand cars with the round connector is the only way to read codes.

should be able to read codes BOTH from the round diagnostic port under hood and the trapezoid OBD port under dash

Did you screw the cover of the round diagnostic port down under the hood? Someone posted the other day that the interior OBD wouldn't work unless the other was screwed down.

I don't know what that means but I do have the cap for round plug under the hood.
