bmxludwig 11-04-2007, 07:43 PM sound clips?
328ischef 11-04-2007, 07:55 PM its off the car, sorry. From what I have heard, this is a very good muffler. If anyone else has any input, please add it but as far as I know these are very good.
IowaLawM3 11-04-2007, 08:48 PM how many miles on it? more pictures showing condition, including tips?
randan 11-04-2007, 08:58 PM what did it come off of, +1 on the pics. Does it come with connecting pipes or just silencer and tip?
sicksedan 11-04-2007, 09:29 PM Please PM me! I'd like some photos of the exhaust. I'd prefer the race version... Not sure how to determine that though?
328ischef 11-04-2007, 09:33 PM Hey,
I will grab some pictures of it and get htem up. It will include the connecting tips, so it will look just like a stock muffler, no mid pipes though.
back in 10 w/ pics
328ischef 11-04-2007, 10:02 PM here are some pictures. With 10-15 minutes of polishing the tips on this muffler would look excellent.

sicksedan 11-04-2007, 10:14 PM Looks pretty good. How do the hangers work on these? never mind... I see now. Tips are 83 mm? or 76?
If I knew it were race version... I would have paid you already
FSUhorizon 11-04-2007, 11:06 PM My guess is that it is a sport. Compare it to the race versions in two other threads:

Notice the tags on the race version don't have the bottom line that says "Spec M3" and they don't say 325, 328. Also the race versions have four ridges along the muffler and the one for sale here has six.
sicksedan 11-04-2007, 11:21 PM Good call. I think I'll wait for race version. I'd hate to spend $500 on something that might not be what I'm looking for! Still nice exhaust though.

that top link has 6 ridges though
328ischef 11-04-2007, 11:26 PM The top link has 6 ridges on it if you look carefully.
FSUhorizon 11-04-2007, 11:30 PM that top link has 6 ridges though
The top link has four that I see?
However, I did find another thread where someone was saying their exhaust, which looks like the one for sale here, was a race.
This is what I DO know for sure:
There are definitely two distinct exhausts a race and a sport. One has four ridges with a tag that just says ____ M3. The other has six ridges and it says "Spec M3" and 325 328.
I still think this is a sport. My guess is the guy who has an exhaust that looks like this one actually got a sport and was mistaken.
328ischef 11-04-2007, 11:57 PM not sure, this does have 6 ridges and says a 325/328
FSUhorizon 11-05-2007, 12:05 AM Paypal sent. I'm hoping it's a sport. To everyone who wanted a race: If it gets here and it's a race, I probably won't keep it. I can't have a super loud exhaust. I'll revive the thread if I need to get rid of it.
savage217 11-05-2007, 12:05 AM I call dibs if its race. Please?
