View Full Version : thinking of selling/ trading for a 540i/6 imola38 11-04-2007, 02:38 PM I absolutrly love the 7 but keep entertaining the thought of a manual 540i. I used to have a 95 e34 540i and loved it, but sadly, lost her in a horrible head-on collision about 7 months ago. I just love the look and feel of an E39 with M62 and 6 speed as I've driven quite a few now. I paid 18k for the car. I just recently flushed the cooling system, installed NA motorworks DDE's, blackout grills, and clears on the front. New rad hoses and new Synthetic M1 10w30 within last 2k miles. Would like to get $18,500 just becuase the car is better than it was when bought. I think this is a very fair price, especially seeing the rarity of an imola e38. A trade for a comparable silver/ charcoal gray or black 540i sport 6 speed would also be considered. -Ben imola38 11-05-2007, 11:13 AM Bump for any more opinions... 740ILMIKE 11-05-2007, 12:08 PM the 540'd are nice cars but in my opinion, nothing that BMW makes compares to the 7. They are just so much car! I would not do it in all honesty. It's a down grade in my opinion.
