You'll probably find several with your answer. Most likely it is either A) leak at the connection of one or more of the drain tubes for the sunroof, although you'd probably see water around the headliner or B) the vapor barrier between the door and doorpanel is separated/leaking. Anyone know of any other ideas? To check A, you can either open your sunroof and pour water down the draintube to and see where it comes out or you can drop the headliner. For B, the door panel is relatively easy to remove. I would recommend visiting www.e38.org (http://www.e38.org) and searching here as both will probably answer your question in more detail/ better. And +1 to CaptHerb... WTF would you go to a carwash?:nono deciphe 11-04-2007, 12:18 PM well i have a appointment to have it fully detailed (since i just got it) in about 2 weeks but since i dont get alot of rain here (arizona) i wanted to check if i had any water problems before it rain's. I had water on my floor also and discovered that the section underneath the plastic cover where the wiper arms are is basically a box of its own. Well the water that collects in there runs out a small hole that a rubber piece attaches itself to. the problem is that that 90 degree elbow rubber piece was full of debris from leaves and dirt which clogged it. The water fills up and ran in the car behind my dash and down to the footwell. Unbelievable!!!. I just pulled of that rubber piece and problem disappeared. I just dont know if the 7 has the same engineering design... Might want to check though.. Hope this helps your problem...:D |
