View Full Version : Prayers please!
enzof355f430 11-04-2007, 12:48 AM Well this week has been a terrible one for me. After wrecking my car, I come to find out one of my friends from high school has had a serious car accident. We ran into each other a few weeks ago in Schucks and have been hanging out since. I texted her about 10 mins before the crash. This is such a shock. If you can all pray for her and her family I would really appreciate it. Please everyone drive safe and take no chances.

enzof355f430 11-04-2007, 01:33 AM Driver of the ranger fell asleep at the wheel and ran into her head on. He has a few cuts and bruises she is currently suffering from a broken neck, multiple breaks in both of her legs and arms, bruises on her lungs, spleen, and liver. She is currently not breathing on her own. They have her in an induced coma til tomorrow. It is hard, today i looked in the freezer and noticed i still have a smoothie from Coldstones, that was the last time i saw her. I really just want to go see her. Everyone be safe out there.

And this afternoon she will be getting a catscan to check on her neck. This comming week she may be getting the surgery on her neck depending on how well she is. Unfortunately at this point she is not yet awake. But we are all holding on storng just as she is. Please continue with your parys and donations. at http://www.antiagenda.com (http://www.antiagenda.com/) also where you can view the story on pix of the accident.

BKHuff 11-04-2007, 05:26 PM Sorry to hear that, definitely a tough week for you dude. I take it they still have her in the coma? Hopefully she can make a full recovery when they wake her up.
enzof355f430 11-04-2007, 09:22 PM Yes she is still in the coma. Her brother said that she is stable and slowly getting better. I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this tough time. I will keep you guys posted on her condition.

mitchelrl 11-05-2007, 02:09 AM Just read the article.
Who's her insurance coverage through? Also, she should be going through the insurance of the guy that hit her first. Her insurance will pick up as secondary unless the dude was not insured. Then her health insurance should pick up as the tertiary payor.
Coordination of benefits isn't the easiest thing in the world and I seriously doubt that the shaniqua's working as CSR's for her insurance company have a complete understanding of that topic.
I don't think it will be as bad as they're making it out to be though.
Forgiven 11-05-2007, 02:27 AM for what it's worth I made a full recovery after eating a guardrail headfirst at 105mph on my bike (even though they expected me to not make it to the hospital).
A close friend of mine survived a 200 foot drop off of snoqualmie at 155mph (was on the news couple years ago) and is doing amazing considering what he went through and the fact that they said he'd never move (he is now working and it's difficult to tell when he talks that he has any brain damage)
Those are just two miracles that I've seen -they happen and I'm sure she'll come out strong.
As for the bills... Mine was 4 years ago -over half a million in medical bills and i filed a chapter 7. It's not as bad as you think, I'm a home owner now, 2 cars etc. So worst case she might have to do that -but it isn't as bad as everyone makes it to be and on top of that she'll have her health.
enzof355f430 11-05-2007, 10:30 PM Ok just got a text from one of her family members and they say her legs are good. At first the doctors weren't sure if they would be able to save one of her shattered legs, but apparently they are sure now. They are still unsure she will be able to walk again though due to the neck injury. Any more info i receive i will be sure to pass it on.
Today Ali moved her legs on command from the nurse and she opened her eyes three times a few minutes ago. She is making great progress!

I am sorry for her!! but there is a lesson here. DON'T BE ON THE ****ING PHONE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING. OR TEXTING OR EATING OR ANYTHING ELSE. JUST DRIVE
enzof355f430 11-06-2007, 10:55 PM No one said she was on the phone. The driver of the other car fell asleep at the wheel. The text i sent her was ten minutes before the crash, WHILE SHE WAS AT HOME! She was just driving, just driving to school to earn her degree and accomplish her career goal. Where is the lesson now?

enzof355f430 11-06-2007, 11:28 PM Well today Ali had surgery on her neck and also had a breathing tube removed. I am not sure if she is completely breathing on her own or not. Tomorrow she will have surgery on her legs. Her family and friends appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Stay Safe.

chebimmer 11-06-2007, 11:48 PM I hope this cheers you up:
Last winter my friend was involved in a head on collision in Montana, a surburban drifted into the lane of his 1990 toyota pickup. Both cars were travelling at 60mph. My friend suffered massive injuries to the head, including the face, legs and neck. He was life flighted to a hospital a fair distance away. He was in an induced coma for 2 weeks and doctors were concerned there would be considerable brain damage. His jaw was broken, he lost many teeth, his ankle and knee were shattered and his brain incurred an extreme amount of trauma as well as internal bruising, just to name a few of his many many injuries. He was in IC for months and is still recovering almost a year later.
He has lost some of his short term memory but today, he is retuning to the person he once was. Many people had little hope for his survival, and at times I questioned it, but I am telling you this because he recovered against all odds, so do not lose hope and know that your friend can recover.
I am sorry to hear about all the tragedy that has befallen you of late. Just try and remember, it will pass and you will be stronger for it.
enzof355f430 11-07-2007, 12:19 AM Thanks everyone. Here is the official update from her family. This was posted on her Myspace.
"Hello everyone!
I am so grateful to report yet another day of great improvement! Ali was doing so well the last few days that the doctors did her surgery to re-connect her vertebra to her spine. Everything with her surgery went great in fact so great tomorrow they are planning on doing another on her femurs....way to go Ali! We are all so very proud of how strong you are! Another positive thing happened today they took the tube out of her chest! Ali's improvement is a miracle. On the less positive note she is not yet breathing on her own nor is she awake. Soon she will be. Ali is truly our families miracle. We all love her so much and feel so very blessed to have her here with us today!
Again thank all of you wonderful, caring people who are praying, blessing, and making donations on Ali's behalf.
We have made some more updates to Ali's website at www.antiagenda.com the new background relates to her love for snowboarding, which we know she will being doing again here soon enough.
Thank you all! "

enzof355f430 11-07-2007, 10:46 PM Wednesdays Update
Ali is doing good today, not a much has changed since yesterday. The doctors had plans to do the surgery on her femurs today although they postponed it until tomorrow because there was another patient that needed immediate care. There was progress made today. The doctors inserted a tube in a vein just below the heart to protect her from having any blood clots reaching her brain. Each day she is continuing to gain more strength. Her color is coming back into her hands, feet, and face. She still has alot of bruising on her lungs which requires her to be on a breathing machine. Ali is not awake yet, but do to the amount of surgeries required to make her better, this seems like a good thing so she will not remember the pain.
Again thank you all for your prayers, blessings, and donations!
You can continue to make donations to Ali or encourage friends and family to make donations to: http://www.alitomlin.com (http://www.alitomlin.com/)

mitchelrl 11-07-2007, 11:23 PM Ok, move this to OT or something man.
If anything, your post should say something to the tune of "Make sure you don't have shit for medical insurance and get 250k of PIP from your auto insurance, this isn't Canada and pay attention to other drivers, as they are not paying attention to you".
My grandma died 2 years ago, my step dad had a heart attack 2 months ago and my biological father is fighting MS right now (the disease, not the company). Do you see me posting for an E-Hug? No.
Shit, much worse than this, happens every second of every day. A sinless child is molested, a girl is raped, someone is murdered in cold blood, a child is burned alive in Iraq, Burma etc etc etc.
She got in a wreck, she probably wasn't paying attention, it's not like the guy fell asleep and sleep jerked his wheel to the left for no reason. I would be willing to wager that he slowly drifted into her lane and she was either doing her makeup or talking on the phone or texting and didn't notice it until he collided with her.
I know you're hurt by this. But it's time to man up and realize how insignificant this little incident is in the spectrum of shit that happens in this world every second of every day.
Her parents can pull out a second mortgage to pay for it as they are at fault for severely undinsuring their daughter (no major surgery? WTF)
I'd rather donate to breast cancer or aids relief.
Go get attention elseware.
enzof355f430 11-07-2007, 11:40 PM dude stfu. So anytime there is something on the new maybe those people should try to get attention somewhere else as well? The point of the forum is too talk about our lives with other car enthusiasts. Im so sick and tired of people complaining about things like this on the forum. If you dont like it dont read the damn thing. But you dont have to write crap like that and saying she was responsible too. You dont know her so dont judge.
Go troll somewhere else. Jesus Christ have some respect. Im not saying Ali's condition is more important than anyone elses problem, im having a hard time iwht this and was hoping that forum members (who should understand!) could help. the people that have posted nice comments are great, but clearly there is something wrong upstairs for you! I dont see a problem with posting updates on afriend of mine who barely survived a serious wreck that WASNT her fault!

enzof355f430 11-08-2007, 07:58 AM Wow, I am amazed. Do me a favor and look at the Northwest page for a moment. How many threads are there that dont directly involve BMWs? Mitch, like other people said you don't have to read this thread. Bimmerforums is not just about BMWs. Im not going to respond to any of the other crap you just wrote because I seriously hope you didn't mean it. You don't know anything about me or her and simply writing things like that shows the stupidity in you like spots on a cow.

enzof355f430 11-08-2007, 08:17 PM I'm not sure yet. I should find out whether or not she had the surgery today soon, so I will try and find out. I am going to see her on Saturday. I plan on moving the updates a little longer once this week is over. I want to thank everyone who is supporting her.
Mitchel, I just want to ask you nicely to either stop saying rude things about people you dont even know on this thread or just don't visit it. enzof355f430 11-08-2007, 10:00 PM Thursdays Update.
Hello everyone, Ali is doing great. She had a small procedure done today. When you are born there is an opening on your heart the goes to your lungs and 25% of peoples opening do not close within the first 6 months of life. Ali's was still open in most cases it is not a big deal that it is open unless you have an accident like Ali. The doctors took a small tube up through one of her main vains with a cammera on the end to close this opening so that blood clots can not go through it and possibly find there way to the brain. She is doing fine after the procedure. Some of the best doctors came from the Universitery of Washington to do this for her. She is no longer in the rotating bed. She has very little swelling in her face and most of her color has come back.
She will be having the surgery done on her femurs tomorrow. Today I asked the doctor if he thinks she might be home by Christmas and he said that if she keeps healing as fast as she is she will....YAY!!!!
Today was a hard day for many of Ali's family members as today is the day that marks one week since the accident. Although we are so very thankful that Ali has improved as much as she has. She is a blessing to us and thank god everyday that she is here with us!
At times the doctors will lighten up her medication to check her alertness and she will open her eyes for a few moments and mover her legs. When she is done with all of her surgeries she will be able to wake up. She has five more to go. Although, depending on how well she does in the surgeries they may be able to do more than one at a time. So hopefully she will really end up only having three or less done!
Thank you for your prayers, blessings and donations. You can contiune to donate to Ali at www.alitomlin.com (http://www.alitomlin.com/)
WE LOVE YOU ALIGATOR!!!!
