Treepusher 11-03-2007, 05:39 PM Possibly the CD player spooling down? KPACOTKA 11-03-2007, 09:02 PM I guess it is fan seanz4 11-05-2007, 10:33 AM I've searched this forum before on this subject. Mine will go "tick, tick, tick, tick" just as you described sometimes before, sometimes after I start the car.. After messing around with it, I discovered it only does it if a cd is left in the slot. Also, I've noticed it more when the car has been sitting in a cold garage for awhile.. I don't know??? sean BimmerZealot 11-06-2007, 02:51 AM I only get it when I have a MP3 CD, not sure why but it doesn't do it when I have a normal 10-20 track CD in there. Only when its like a 6 album MP3 CD does it do it. It does it when I open the door, etc. Seems to me like it's spooling up the CD since it's a very high volume CD. seanz4 11-06-2007, 10:37 AM Got it to do it again last night (with a regular cd). It only did it when I had the door open. It would stop when I closed the door. It was really cold here last night too. hummmm???? xorbe 11-06-2007, 02:47 PM yep, I noticed that my radio peeks at my MP3 cd even when I open the passenger door. As I read in the manual yesterday, the radio is "enabled" for 20 minutes after using the key. BimmerZealot 11-06-2007, 04:45 PM I dont get the noise with non-MP3 CD it's very possible we're experiencing different sounds =p But ya the radio is on well after the keys are out, you can even open door, hop in and turn on the radio. I'm assuming that's what causes the spooling up when you open the door. |
