Logged into my BECU account to check up on my moneys and I noticed that my Visa credit card limit had increased by $1500 exactly. The credit card is not maxed out or anything so I cannot think of a reason they would do this. I didn't put in an application or make a request to increase the total either.
There was no emails or mail notification. Is this just a sign of good faith? There's no blemishes on my credit history and I've been banking with BECU since I've started earning money.
Anyhow, is this standard?? This is my only current credit card so I'm not sure if this is how things go down.
BTW I recommend BECU to anyone! :buttrock

yeah its normal if you have had the card for a while. if you are young, or have no credit, they will initially give you a lower credit limit. As you pay off the card and are smart with it, they will increase your credit limit slowly over time. Mine has gone from 1k to 4k in about 3 years.

All my cards will tell me they're going to raise it but i have to approve it first.
Only one to not do that is my bank of america one but that's a student card that i've had for a while now. Should of just gotten the regular card instead of listening to the stupid teller. :rolleyes It goes up on it's own randomly.
I mainly use my amex for the rewards though. :D All my cards seems to now have some kind of reward but the amex is still the one with the best rewards.

It was just annoying to actually having to go in and pay at the counter.
