Bought an 84 733i 5 spd and the alternator ground wire wasn't hooked up. Problem is i can't find where to ground it to. Does anyone have a good wiring diagram that shows where to hook the ground wire to, or maybe a picture of where to hook it to?

I'll look tomorrow if I remember.

If you are referring to the ground strap that attaches to the alternator case, it needs to go to the engine block or the engine mount, not the rubber mount. The alternator is mounted using rubber bushings hence the need for an external ground.

it's attached to the motor, where on the alternator does it attach?

Cable attaches to the alternator case. Stay away from the regulator mounting screws. There should be a threaded hole on the back section of the alternator. If not, try one of the bolts that hold the two sections together.
