i have a '95 M3 lowered on Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers and the back suspension is making a creaking, popping, clackeling kind of noise (for lack of better words).. im guessing its my strut mounts that need to be replaced.. im not the greatest "hands on" car guy so anything would help! the front is very solid, the back still feels solid (nothing loose), just very squeaky around town.

im trying to find someone local (im in kirkland, so anywhere in the eastside or seattle area) that wouldn't mind doing a test drive with me to name the problem. i know there's some people on here who could pin point it right away just from listening to it. i don't want to spend $100 at a shop just to have them "look at it" and then buy the parts and then the installation. i would like to figure it out first, buy the parts on my own, and then probably have a shop install it. if someone is willing to meet up just let me know what your schedule is like! mine is very flexible. thank you

I Had the exact problem with my 95' M3, after installing my PSS9 suspension, I experienced the same issue. It was the upper strut mounts. The mounts retail for $30, my shops cost is $8, for the higher quality ones.
Let me know if you would like the hook up. -Erik

sounds like you need new RSM's, check out UUC's deal on the Meyle HD's w/ reinforcement plates.....they had a pkg deal for like $40 shipped. (quick shipping too!) I run these with my H&R race coilovers and they are great! Rob @ UUC told me they've been using the same sets on their race cars and have never had to replace them, very durable!

Bring it by if you want. I live up in Kenmore, shoot me an e-mail at mitchelrl@gmail.com. I'm very in tune with the E36 suspension setup.

This would be a great buy for only $16! OP, you should take him up on this offer, it doesn't get better than that!... and then just get yourself some reinforcement plates to install with these and you should be good for a while...
