sup guys, just picked this up this week - but unfortunately it already has to go. The maximum amount of transactions for title/registration on vehicles in PA is 5, and I have just exceeded the limit and my parents will not let me register it in their name like i thought they would. I have a clean title in hand ready to go. It is a clean car that runs strong, it just needs a good home.

here is the PO's f/s thread.

if you have any question do not hesistate to pm or email.

my email is manjo715 at hotmail dot com

EDIT **11.17.07**

Price is 4.7k.

Window has been fixed, and dash now has functional cabin heating and cooling.

not trying to make any money on this car.

4500 is what i paid for it and what it will be sold for as it sits now.

4650 if you want me to put in a new window.

5000 if you want a fixed window and dash.

Wow what is this limit? 5 at one time? 5 per year? Very nice car

Apparently it is 5 transactions per year. Not 5 sold, or 5 cars bought like I thought. It is 5 transactions bought or sold period, and I am at the limit mang - so someone else is going to benefit. :(

Old man doesnt want an unregistered car sitting in his driveway, and doesnt want it on his policy. and frankly I'm not willing to take the chance on hefty fines if I'm caught with more than 5 transactions on my name...

If anyone has any questions dont hesistate to ask!

Wow, now you've exceed even the "Ohnoes Record for the Quickest Car Turnover Rate"! :D

Good luck selling, man... I know the feeling of the 'rents not wanting to help you out.

What was the final verdict on the is/i debate in the previous thread? Basically, does it have an LSD?

That's not all. And besides, LSDs could come as options on the non-iS's. iS's also have sport leather seats, 13-button OBC, trunk lid spoiler, front iS lip spoiler, basketweave wheels, flip-out rear windows (not positive whether this is unique to the iS, but I believe it is).

Still, this is an awesome car and if I were in the market, it would be a definite prospect. All that stuff above can be added later, as long as you have a good base. :buttrock

GLWS Mike!

there was no final verdict, but i'm convinced its an 'i' - but that is not to say it doesnt have LSD, as my first e30 was an 'i' and it came optioned with it... i'd have to take a look under the car later after work.

thanks ohnoes... and all the iS stuff you mentioned afaik could be added as options even to an 'i' car. anyway, this one has the basketweaves (with brembo's behind thme - shameless plug :D) and 'iS' front lip, and may even have the lsd i'd have to check under the car or run the vin.

i'll update later tonight as it is getting a lot of interest.

I hope I can find something this clean this coming summer. Wife has a few more months of school before I can force her to work... I have been seriously considering selling my E36 or a clean E30 or a E36/8. Bump for a clean car.

I looked up the VIN, this is a 325i.
It shows it had the optional LSD from the factory.

Hey, do you have the dash piece that fills in where the radio is, and are any other wires damaged besides for the radio wires? Just curious.

i didnt get one with the car, but i do have a spare dash piece that you are talking about that i wouldnt mind throwing in with the car. And no, no other wires have been damaged to my knowledge.

now willing to negotiate on price... but fairly - by removing items that i may find useful (i.e. iS lip, euro ellips, mtech2 wheel, clean ass weaves, etc.)

bfd down here vvv is a lil upset that I wasn't ready to jump all over a swapped dash that he couldnt/wasn't willing to do himself.

I posted it in the beginning of the thread, and then again when bfdbatt2 asked me, and still now 5k is what it will be with a dash swapped in.

bfdbatt2 previously told me I could consider the car sold for 5k once I did the dash replacement, I said ok. I then got a phone call same day form a guy saying he would buy the car this weekend, I told that guy "ok I just need a deposit because I have someone else that wants the car (bfdbatt2) but wants me to swap the dash. If you want it the way it sits then you have first dibs." That guy (named brian) said ok, needed to check funds will call me back at 5... then never called.

I told bfdbatt2 that i would do the dash, as long as i got a deposit, but i wanted to make sure i could find/line up a complete dash before any money was sent - at which point he bailed and seems to be pissy about now.

Anyway, to make a long story short... if you want the car with a replaced dash it will be 5k, although truthfully i'd really rather not do it (even though i'd be making some money for my time doing it) and would rather sell the car for 4650 the way it sits - making no money on it.
sorry, couldnt help it....

I finally got some time and went out to look at the car again... started looking at the dash and i said to myself hmmm....

long story short after a little time I have made it look like this

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l44/manjos20/ATT00001.jpg

with a fully functional blower and cabin heating and cooling.

Now asking 4.7k obo. I will not be redoing the dash even if somebody wants it for 5k. The car will be sold the way it sits right now. Even if you do not have the couple extra bucks to swap in a replacement dash right away, you can now get through winter or longer without any fear of no heat...

4.7k come get it.

Went to AAA. They dont look up your history for the year, but if it gets caught down in harrisburg then you could be looking at some nice hefty fines. The chances of it actually happening? I dont know - but its not worth it to me to find out to be honest.

thanks brother

Made a trip up to Easton to check out Mike's car this past weekend. Being in college leaves me with very little time, so unfortunately I couldn't buy the car...figured I'd throw together a little review for anyone who was curious about the car:

At first look, the car seemed clean. Mike told me it had a maaco paintjob, and then a more professional one done over that. The car drove very nicely, no ticking, exhaust sounds great, and it cruises on the highway. 100 was as fast as we went, and the car was solid. Gets up to speed pretty quick, and you can definitely tell the head was replaced. Steering's a little loose, but accurate (personal preference mostly).

The car itself, like I said, is solid. No rust, paint looks good, wheels are clean, brakes were good. My only beef was that the interior needs some work. Heat DOES work, so you'll be good for the winter...but being in college I have very little time to fix things up.

Hope this helps someone out, good luck with the sale mike.
