View Full Version : ZHP Shift knob and E-brake Boot? bosstones 10-31-2007, 04:36 PM I'm picking up my M Coupe this Sat (yay!) but will be parting with my ZHP in the process (:(). I'm considering swapping out the alcantara boots for both the shift knob and e-brake from my ZHP with the OE leather ones in the coupe. Does anyone see any issue with this? I wouldn't think there'd be a fit problem but thought I'd throw this out there. The HACK 10-31-2007, 04:59 PM No issues. I think the only problem is the ZHP knob isn't lit? Thanks for the input! Yeah, I'd lose the lighted shift pattern but I'd be keeping the M Coupe's shift knob anyways. It looks like some of the laminate over the pattern of the ZHP's shift knob was coming loose for some reason (looks like air bubbles). If they still have the replacement knob that was ordered at another dealer, that'd be sweet but I'm sure they already returned it since its been over two weeks since the part came in. Thanks. I did some more digging and found a close up pic of a UUC shift knob boot and compared it to the shape of the one on my ZHP. No go. :( Oh well. I'll probably still replace the shift knob though. BimmerZealot 11-01-2007, 04:09 PM The knob will fit for sure, I think all BMW shifters share the same pop on design, I put a ZHP knob on my Z4 as well, direct fit.
