View Full Version : Umnitza, for the win or for the loss...

I bought a set of angel eyes for my e39 from Umnitza... While I'm relatively happy with the angel eyes, I was told I would receive a gift with my purchase... I never received the gift.

Just thought I'd post this on here to make other members aware. I've sent Umnitza emails on their site and pm's on here but I guess they've decided to ignore me... :(

They are a business trying to make money. Of course they are devilish. Anyway, I am one day going to put them out of business with manufacturing my own E36 headlights with the customers choice of TSX, S2000, Valeo, or LS430 projectors already installed. They refuse to acknowledge that their products are inferior because they use 20 year old projectors in either DEPO or their louis vuitton version ZKW.

Oh and I think angel eyes are out of fashion anyway now.

I would say Umnitza is okay. I don't like the way they operate sometimes by misrepresenting items (ie. showing you a picture of a ZKW headlight in a depo + hid sale thread). Or being quick to denounce other products as inferior when they are of equal quality to their own products. They still do offer a lot of decent stuff that I wouldn't mind putting on my car and for a reasonable price.

If they worked on the honesty thing a bit more, I think it would boost their credibility by a lot. Oh, and losing the goon tactics. I can hear the Umnitza/Bavtoys sponsored car owners coming to lynch me now. :)

I have bought several things from umnitza and have been in general happy with his service. I just hate how if he doesnt sell it, it is either 'cheap ebay crap' or 'cheap crap made in china'. Just because he doesnt sell it doesnt make it bad.

They are also overprice compared to other sites. Even on things such as zkw's, understeer sells them cheaper and includes the pnp for free, and umnitza does not.

I would have bought the angel eyes from somewhere else for a slightly cheaper price, but because Umnitza offered the free gift I bought it through them...

If he continues to ignore your pm's, make a post in the lighting section asking him why he wont respond. This has seemed to work for other people who he has not gotten back to.

Hey guy. I ordered my AEs and received a key chain gift by surprise. I don't like to have anything more than I need on my keychain, so if you want mine then send me your address and I'll send it to you.

Just a BMW keychain. Like the kind you see at the parts dept. in the turnstyle at the BMW dealership.

One of those.

Some of you guys are so rediculous.:rolleyes

Here are my dealings with Umnitza. Both transactions have been great. They came packed well, shipped fast, and service was as it should be, fast and responsive.

Tahts the thing with umnitza. There are people who gets the best of the best service and the rest gets the worst of the worst.

BMWALDO No pun intended. That is a super nice offer you laid out but it is still wrong for umnitza to do such an act. You giving him your keychain will not make umnitza "correct" again.

If you every need help with an order, you go to www.umnitza.com - click on CONTACT US and you will get help because you will be forwarded past our spam filters.

Thank you Waldo, Rustbucket, and all the others that email us daily. We are proud to have you as real customers.

Any attempt by umnitza to try to get in contact with you yet? Like a PM or a phone call considering you are probably one of the very few that bought soemthing during this promotion that lives in New Zealand.

If you have the time to spend to post dissatisfaction into a company for a free gift that was promised and not received on the forum, surely you have to the time to click your mouse two times to email us to give us your information for lookup.

Despite our best efforts, it's not often easy to answer a customer's concen based on a user name - which is anonymous. We have many customers worldwide and our database allows us to search by email, purchase order number, paypal ID, last name/first name.

This is directed at you s1ick since you crave this sort of attention. The customer does not need your cheerleading. I'm sure he's far wiser than you give him credit and can contact us as was requested. While we are all at SEMA, we still have sporadic access to respond to emails. Your antics are transparent and continued attempts to defame Umnitza on your behalf will have consequences.

Please Matt. You making a picture bigger than what it proportionally is. Its not cheerleading, its called trying to help him out. I dont see how you would take my replies and twist it into the context of how wise I give him credit for. In fact, I never made any assumptions except for him not knowing habbie and you have a close relationship.

This really isnt the point and you annoucing it will not make forum members have a sense of distrust towards me for its clear to see I was trying to help the OP get in contact and get what was owed of him. Im not making anything up nor have I said anything remotely defaming.

Maybe you are trying to help him out but it seems a little weird even to me. It does seem like you are "attacking" them in a polite way. Don't think you have defamed them but just seems a little strange. The OP is a big boy he can figure is out.;)

I have been guilty of it in the past without knowing it so am sure you are trying to help the OP out but I can see why Umnitza might be a little frustrated.

Anyhow, good luck to the OP. :)

Edit - Before any tools come on here and say I am cheerleading Umnitza grow up I don't have any personal interest in Umnitza:lol I bought a ZKW headlight glass replacement and something else small a LONG time ago. Good Day!:alright

this should be between the OP and Umnitza only, you can not and are not helping him in anyway shape or form since you cant give him anything or make him whole, the contact info for umnitza are all over the board and even a blind man can find his way there, good excuse though..

only one person can help him and it ain't YOU, all you are doing is instigating and moving this thread down lockdown ave.
nowhere did the Op ask for your help or suggestions, this is ALWAYS counter productive to the OP who may have a legitimate complaint, the thread gets locked and he and his problem gets lost in the shuffle because of the cheerleaders (read lynch mob) who cant help themselves.

why aren't you offering "help" on any other threads except the ones involving umnitza? don't bother answering, we all know the answer and your motives, its just best you move right along now.

From my experience with umnitza, email and PM and other similar methods of communication seem useless, and usually deter me from any company. However, speaking on the phone with them (Matt) makes everything better, because putting a voice to a name gets the job done. Talking with them on the phone is like night and day, because you can tell they actually care about your situation (as opposed to how I was feeling via email). It was a lot easier to speak to Matt about an angel eye problem on my bro's E36 M3 than it was to try and communicate through email. I would try calling them, as I don't think other communications are as effective. Great company overall, and I liked the fact that they are somewhat local so I could just run up to their shop on a need-basis ;)
