I just bought a 1991 325ix and I am going to need quite a bit of work done on the car. Does anyone know of a good shop in the Boston area (I am in Wellesley) to do standard maintenance plus performance installation. I saw Turner BMW but it is an hour drive. What type of work do you need to do? I can help with the basic stuff. I'm also from Georgia; welcome to Mass!

If you are doing performance work, I'd take it to Mike Morris at Schneller BMW in Newbury, MA (www.machschnell.com). It is almost as far as Turner, but Mike is a racer and knows his stuff. He races and prepares many E30's. (His E30 has an S52 (E36 M3) motor in it.)

For routine maintenance, you might try Autobahn East in Lexington. They just changed their name to Auto Engineering. http://www.autobahneast.net/.

I know that somepeople go to Landshark in Natick. I don't know how much they know about performance.
