I was at McDs getting some grub and some punks walked over and wanted me to race them all. That is probably the guy, though.. car was exactly as you described it as well as the driver. And btw, I would absolutely LOVE to see your car. I have yet to see a STROKED and BLOWN M3!!!!!

What color is your M3 and was it recently in to Orr Autosport getting the supercharger installed, maybe in the last month?? There was a silver and a black m3 there when my car was getting a clutch installed, and they were both getting RMS superchargers installed and were just amazing!!!

What did that clutch install cost you and how long did it take before you had your car back?? Ive been putting it off because of lack of time. Its my only car.

The total was like $1500, but I upgraded to a JB racing LTW flywheel which was another 500 or so. THey had the car about a week, but they were doing other things like rolling the fenders and stuff. The actual clutch install took them about a day or so. Pretty easy if you plan on doing it and they have the parts ordered and ready to go unlike mine which they had to wait a few days, but then again I have a truck to drive as well. But it went really smooth, and I am pretty sure they can schedule a rental car for you if it is a MUST. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more questions.

well the other night mtriple and i were cruising west on 394 and an e36M3/4 pulled up. we both smoked him 1 by one and his plate read "infidel". after we beat him up pretty bad he flagged us down and stopped to talk to us. he was a real nice guy and all but a total flamer.(not that theres anything wrong with that) i think mtriple took a liking to him as i havent seen mtriple since

Last night I put in the Ireland Engineering Subframe bushings in. Wow who would of thought puting in a $45 part would change the car so much. Test run last night was everyone on and off ramp on 394. I think I got a cop mad at me because I went through one of the off ramps faster than him.

I just puchased a chip from Dynospot racing and I need to have the vanos looked at by Orr. Then I will have it dyno'd again.

I think Blunt is a little jealous that I have found a new boy toy. I could tell Blunt had his eyes on the "infedel" and was a little disappointed when he realized that the feeling wasnt mutual.

The System U sounds nice and loud also has the most HP gain from what I've seen. I'm looking for something a bit more quiet since I have a baby seat in the back now...so I have to sacrafice a little power for some quietness :D

Does anyone have any recommendations for shops in the metro area that do 4-wheel alignments? I need some shop with experience doing alignements in the presence of adjustable rear control arms and camber plates.

I suspect Orr is capable of it, and I bet you that Auto Edge might be able, but I'm curious if there are any other favorites out there?

I've gotten alignments from Performance Alignment in Bloomington. They did an awesome job. I was having issues with uneven tire wear and had just installed an adjustable camber kit. Once they were done I haven't had any problems. I can probably track down a phone number if you want it. Just let me know.

its a manual with sports package. i think. no xenon. I just got it tinted yesterday at 35%. Will wash and wax this weekend. I'll take some pics with my phone cam and post it up.

That's wierd. I have no idea! Sorry, I guess you might just want to go to Orr. Performance did a good job, but they were pretty expensive.

I have a full M30 engine, tranny, ecu, etc. Or the whole car, that the engine is still in, is a 1988 535is with 144000 miles on it. If anyone is or knows someone that would be interested please let me know.

Tomorrow night is the monthly Minneapolis BMW Owners Group meeting at the Calhoun Executive Building at 7:00.

There is usually about 15 cars, from stock to mildly modded (except for when the E30s showed).

Does anyone do range shooting or have guns as a hobby?? I'd like to get into recreational shooting, but have no idea where to start in the area.

Same and do you have to own the gun? I want to get a chance to fire off a few rounds on an M16 or M4 (thought Id probably only get a chance with an AR15), and an M9 too !

If you want to get into it, I recommend firing a variety of them before making a decision what to buy. Every firing range in the area sells guns, and they all have a bunch for rent. Since I'm still looking for what pistol I want to purchase, I'm still testing everything out. Bill's gun shop in Robbinsdale was a great, nice place to go, and they have a large variety of guns available for rent (approximately $15 for the evening), but I'm told that you'll see a lot of people there holding their guns sideways and pretending to be gangstahs. I've never seen that, but that's what I'm told.

The old Armored Fire (Lake and 35W) was purchased by Bill's as well, and I haven't been there since they changed owners. The people who previously worked there were a bunch of @$$holes, though. If you didn't already know everything about guns, then they didn't want you around. Which is stupid...because how are they going to grow their sport and sell a gun to me? Idiots.

Bottom line: try a bunch of guns before you decide what you want. At Bill's. I have been able to shoot an AR15, an old Tommy Gun (which is SO EASY TO SHOOT), and a number of different pistol calibers and brands. They all have completely different character.

Forgot to post this until now. Last friday night I was in my friends Audi RS 6 and we raced a modded black e36 M3. It was funny because me and the other passenger both own E36 M3's as well. Needless to say the M3 lost, but the guy was cool. Anybody here?

On 94 I saw some silver M3 with nice wheels and a low stance, HIDs/DDEs.. goign to fast the other way to see any good detail. Medians are too large!

It's a really nice facility, so it's worth checking it out. Still, it's just a car shop...there really isn't anything all that different about it compared to any other car shop you've been to. It certainly is a lot more professional looking than their old place.

I need the hanger for the M, it is a about 4x4 inch rubber hanger with metal on top to bolt to the car. It is the one for the rear section that clamps to the muffler.

Anyone interested in a Custom Magnaflow exhaust for an E36 M3? It has about 4000 miles on it, sounds great, like a B and B TriFlo. I am just getting sick of hearing rattles so I took it off. If the M was not my Daily Driver I would have kept it on. Looking at $350.

What do I need to do for my car so that it will start up in the cold mornings?
I only have a short 4 mile commute to school.
I'm on a budget since I'm a grad student, but what should I do about tires?
I assume that I should buy winter tires or all season?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Welcome to Minnesota. Winter tires would obviously be the safest option, but you could probably get by with all season tires since you don't have far to commute. I would guess the streets in that area would be well taken care of. Ebay would be a good place to start looking or you could get a new wheel/tire package from Tirerack (www.tirerack.com) for $800 shipped.

check your coolant and make sure you have the proper level of anti freeze for this climate. 20 below isnt uncommon for short spurts.as long as its in good tune it should do fine. if you can afford good snows id get them but my wife runs all seasons on her 540 in the winter and does well,,welcome, youll like minnesota

Mille Miglia Spider 16" w/205/55/16 Michelin Pilot Alpins. 2 rims have some curb rash, and some scrapes on the front of the other ones, but they don't look to shabby. I just bought these from a forum member last week and I might be going a different route this winter. Welcome the our awesome state! :stickoutt :cool

I bought them from a guy who had them on a 4-dr M3 actually, and they cleared the brakes (offset allows so) so yes they do. :)
