I need to put oil for my brakes in my Z4 3.0 2004. Does anyone here know what type of oil exactly I need to put for brakes ? I know I have to use Castrol 530 or Mobile 530 for oil changes but I need to know what type of oil I need to put for brakes on a Z4 3.0 2004. Thanks.

You need hydraulic fluid. DOT 3 or DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID is what you need.

DOT 3, preferably DOT 4 ... NEVER DOT 5

Just out of curiosity, what is motivating you to add brake fluid? No offense, but you don't seem extremely familiar with the system, so I'm just wondering if you have the why, where, and how parts nailed down as well.
