My fiance wants to move back there cause she grew up there kinda and her Unc owns his own HVAC buisness and It would be a good opportunity to gain more experiance in the field. I have lived here all my life in Colo and I have been there 2 times and yes it is small and ghostly. Just wanted to see if anyone from here lives there. I didnt see any BMWs there both times I visited

I think I'm the only member who lives in Abilene. Abilene isn't bad if you like the quiet, slower pace of life. Great place to raise a family.

Actually, I'm in Claird....one side of my road is in Clyde, the other is Baird. (20 miles from my house to my work in Abilene).

Actually I'm trying to sell my house to move back into Abilene right now, but so far no one wants to buy the place and live across the street from one of the nicest golf courses around. :mad

Thanks. I actually was just trying to talk my wife into moving to DFW area last night. All her family is there and it would be nice to be closer to them. But, I know I'd hate the crazy traffic and big city life.

you get used to it pretty quick. when my parents come up from abilene to visit, they get streesed out in traffic. They ask me how I deal with it, I'm like "deal with what?"
it's part of life to me.

Plus the pay scale is so much higher here.
