View Full Version : 45 and sunny - close to the limit
pwlorraine 10-29-2007, 11:06 PM Around here it was 45F and sunny today. With a wind deflector and the windows down it was comfortable below 50mph with a jacket on. After the sun set I rolled the windows up - comfortable until 40 mph or so when I started to wish I was wearing a hat. It started to feel more like skiing at that speed. I could survive lower than that but wouldn't enjoy it.
The end of convertible season is in sight.

jeffro0502 11-02-2007, 01:36 AM It was 81 here today....
palomino 11-02-2007, 01:52 AM yeah, i had my hardtop for southern california's 2 hours of "rain storm" :rofl and for the recent fires. i didnt want any embers or ash to settle on the fabric.
i just took the top off to enjoy the last few weeks of warm sunny weather. its beautiful during the day, and just a little chilly at night.
trayson 11-04-2007, 11:58 PM I thought it was over myself. But it was in the low 60's today in the Pacific NW. Go figure.
I had already put the hardtop on one of my verts. Good thing that this weekend my brother in law took that one to start pulling parts off of and I was driving the other one!
Getting in those last few days of drop top! in november! I can't believe it.

Well, we get rain on Friday, so I guess you can feel better about that.
Oh, and I've also got a built/lifted TJ in my garage! Jeep & a BMW. It's a sweet combo! (with a sportbike thrown in to boot!)

Well, when you hear the words 4.56's, Atlas II, ARB, Warn 9000 w/ synthetic, Full cage, dual batteries, Mean Green alternator/starter, Rock-a-thon beadlocks, Goodyear MTR's, and on and on and on; you might think that I beat the living crap out of it.
But I think that the attached pictures should clear up ANY doubts you might have!

Brashland 11-09-2007, 09:58 AM PFFT... idiots. For that second picture, 10 feet to the right and you would have been on smooth ground....
And what did you not see that mud puddle?
:burn
I KID I KID! I'm going with some in-laws this Sunday to do some of the same stuff. Most of the summer I've been waiting for an open seat so I could ride along, and now I get my chance!
