I just got a chance to put in one of my new apexcone headlights to compare to the all mighty 'gen4' depos. I didnt install the other one, because I am planning on doing a TSX swap this weekend. While I think dont think the depos are a bad lighting setup, I have been told that the apexcone's are cheap chinese crap, and the depos are made in taiwan and are of much better quality. So far the two lights seem to be nearly identical. The only major gripe that I have with the depos is the rear covers, they seem to be made of brittle plastic(a tab on the rear cover broke within 30min of having them) and dont really stay on well. The rear covers on the apexcone lights seem to hold on better and seem to be designed a little better. Other than that the lights seem to be very similar.

As you can see they look very similar(depos driver side, apexcones passenger side). The only difference that I can see(which is hard when its light outside) is that when the lights shine on my garage door the light coming out of the apexcone is a little whiter, and has looks like it had the color mod done to the cutoff.

I will get some night pictures as soon as I can. Overall I think that the lights are essentially equal in quality. Simply because of price I would suggest the apexcones over the depo's.

I'm in the market for some lights so I appreciate your write-up. I like hearing the opinions of those who aren't selling lights so that they have less incentive to be biased.
