i remember when i first got the car someone showed me a trick where i would turn the key on and off a few times and then hit the brake or the gas pedal like 10 times or something like that ...i have know idea what sequence of what i did exactly but the result would be the dash lights or running lights would flash a code pattern that could be translated into a fault code to diagnose problems with the car
does that male any since? does anyone here know what im talking about?
if you do then i would like to know that procedure and if possible it would be great to know what code means what so i dont have to create another thread asking for code chart...lol

thanks ..

You turn the ignition to position 2 where all the light on the dash light up, then within 3-5 seconds you have to depress and release the accelerator pedal 5 times equally and then the check light will turn on and start reading out all the fault codes. If there is no fault codes it will read out 1444 in flashes. To reset all fault codes you wait till its read out 1444 then depress the accelerator for 10 seconds. I've tryed this method but can never get it to work, theres a real art to doing it properly. Good luck, if you get it to work post a small video of it.

I'm new to this thread as so I have not read everything yet (if that is even possible) but doesn't your car have to be OBDI and not OBDII for this procedure to work?

ok i finally got around to trying this and it doesnt seem to work with that procedure mentioned above...

but i do know it works with something because ive done it before in the past but if i remember correctly it was more than 5 times of pushing the pedal and i think i had to do something different with the key like turn it off and on a couple times i think
but i really dont remember at all which is why i started this thread in case someone knows
