Well its been a while since ive been on here. My computer at the house crapped out and i dont have the $$$ for another right now. So i get on when i can (obviously not very often). Anywho, i got a few uhmm encounters to talk about. First, if anyone wants to see me and my buddy Jim in his Vette loosing to a modded Saleen S281 go to undergroundracing.com its the Saleen v.s Camaro/Vette race. That same day i lost to a Acura CL Type S with a shot of spray of an "undisclosed" horsepower. (He says 75, i and about 20 others say horseshit). He only pulled me like 5 feet from a 50 roll to 120-130. So we were all but even. Then we went from 75 and neither of us could pull an inch. I dunno Dave, do you think a 75 shot would put a Type S nose to nose with a light modded LS1 from a roll?
The weekend prior to that Jim and I were rolling around on a Sunday afternoon lookin for a race. We came across a Diablo with paper tags :cool: . Now naturally that wouldnt be much of a race (for him) but we tooled along with him for like 20 min all over S. Charlotte at speeds approaching 150 mph. (and yes you could tell he had more if he wanted it). Eventually we all pull over at a Bi-Lo of all places and he proceeds to tell us he just picked the car up the day before, it was one of the last Diablos to be imported, and indeed he let us sit in it and it still had warning stickers and shit on the dash. The car was unreal. The guy was like 38....40 maybe. No i didnt ask what he did for work. But he did make the comment that his previous car was a 01' 911 TT but "his wife could drive it just as well as he could" and it "reminded him of a fast Civic" so he needed something with "more balls". Well buddy, you got it. His name was Rob, my buddy got his # he asked if he could come out to the races with us sometime.....hehe...uhhhh no you cant bring your friggin LAMBOURGHINI DIABLO to the races that would just suck. Whatever. :D
Theres been some other races intersperced here and there but those are the ones that stick out in my mind. So i finally lost to an import...had to happen. Oh well time for more mods. Anywho its good to check in after so long i hope alls been well and good on the site here. I'll have the opportunity to check on here for the next week or so. See ya round. Peace. :cool:
