1) do you care to explain how my bike is considered salvage?
2) how do you figure the rim is bent beyond repair? do you fix rims? didnt think so
3) are you ok, no im being serious, i understand the ownage threads are getting to you. but yelling in my thread will not make them go away.

back to the original topic. does anyone know where i can get a rim fixed. its not really that bad. just a slight bend, no stress marks or cracks.

If you think you can get that repaired for $75 or less you are sadly mistaken .

If thats your limit on repairing it you might as well start sourcing a replacement now .

My cost to have auto wheels refurbed is slightly higher than your figure .

Most wheel refinishers in town charge customers $100-$125 per wheel .

well ive been looking around online and actually found rates for bike rims lower. around the 75-100 area. i was assuming bike rim rate would be lower, which is what its showing compared to your numbers. i will check for the hell of it tomorrow. if its around 100+ then ill go ahead and pick a rim up off ebay.

Ahh well then it might work out for you if that is the case .

Obviously I deal with auto wheels but assumed the work would/should be the same .

Good luck finding a rim shop to fix bike wheels, I looked for a local place for a month and didn't find anything. BTW, that rim is trashed, just buy another one, it's safer, and trust me, you need safe.

Do not do that, I will find whoever on whatever site you sell these on and make sure they know the condition of the rim before it was fixed and that it is dangerous. You are an asshole if you would sell someone a rim that isnt safe, maybe you should keep it.

Dude, if the rim is unsafe, the shop won't repair it to begin with. When I busted up my 2 drivers side wheels, Wheels America or whatever is in Dallas wouldn't touch em, probably for the same safety(more like liability) reasons you're going on about.

he would have to replace the barrel, regardless of if its safe its a terrible misrepresented product.

dude shut your ass up. i had the rim checked at 3 shops. all of them said it wasnt that bad at all. it was the lip bent on it. they could have it fixed for $110-125. at that price it wasnt worth it, and i didnt want to ship it off to cali and wait 2 weeks so i bougt a new set. its getting fixed mike. now stuf. end up discussion.
