there is no aftermarket headlights for the coupe, you are limited to stock or you can add an hid kit.

Hey Habbie, just a quick question, I always wondered what the nipples do on the euro headlights. Any insight in to this?

reduce wind noise, although i've never noticed a difference myself, but they look killer.

What are Xenix bulbs? Brighter than the stock bulbs but not quite HID? These come with PnP and shipping is included, correct? Thanks!

habbie
10-29-2007, 01:07 AM
What are Zenix bulbs? Just brighter? Do these come with PnP? Thanks!

xenix are a color match halogen bulb some use for high beams or fogs to get a white light effect to match angel eyes and hid to some degree.
they dont put out a whole lot of light but they are somewhat white.

So they're just a whiter bulb? Is it only high beams or a whiter bulb on lows? I'm looking for something that has an output similar to my silverstars [9006] which are a whiter light

then these arent for you, they are all for looks and zero function.
get one of the budget hid kits, they'll blow the output of the silverstars 10 times over.

How does the quality of the DJAutos compare to DEPOs? I don't really care about AEs or HIDs, but I'm tired of being able to turn my stock headlights off at night and barely notice a difference.

I'd like to know too. Build quality anyway. They are a good sight cheaper than DEPO, is this a get what you pay for kind of deal?

1. Bosch--Excellent built/ellipsoid-- VERY EXPENSIVE
2. ZKW--Good/Ellipsoid--Expensive
3. Depo--Okay/Elipsoid--Affordable-- Cheap plastic, okay Ellipsoid
4. DJ Auto--50/50/Ellipsoid--Cheap-- Good construction, horrible Ellipsoid

**Ellipsoid= the low beam "eye"... ( unless they are called something else:))

get the depo, they are not much more, if you are on a strict budget get the DjAuto, they are better then previous generations.

^^ and everyone of them is better than OE US headlights.

Add in your choice of budget or quality HID kit and you have a whole new lit up night life.

Hey habbie, i'm looking to order the DjAuto headlights with the thinline angel eyes and 35w KWD 6000k HIDs. I would also like to upgrade to the 50w thing your doing :-D. One problem, on your site, it states that the headlights (105)+ thinlines (109)+ 35w 6000K KWDs (149)= $363.99. Alls good until I hit add to cart. When I add to cart it goes to paypal, which I will be using to buy these, and in the cart it shows this:

"E36 Depo GEN4 | E36 92-99 | | ThinLine +109 | | | Kwd 6k 2 Yr Warranty +149 |
$447.99 USD
"

First of all, I'm ordering the DjAuto headlights, not the Depos... or so I thought. Also, where the hell did the added $84 come from? Please help as I want to order this ASAP!

I placed an order for these yesterday... have not received any form of communication. Is this standard or am I an exception.

Emailed you from the BavToys site early this morning... still no response.

Just wondering the status... most companies I've sent payments to at the least have an auto-reponder.

I placed my order with you based on what a few fellow Bimmerforum members said about your communication and service.

Habbie, got the headlights today. Super fast shipping!! Thanx.

I have one question though. Do you have any instructions on how to connect the PnP harness. There is one white wire that doesn't have a terminal on one end. Where does it connect to?? I haven't looked at the car wiring yet, but are the colors the same as the PnP harness? If not, which color goes to which connection on the car? I will greatly appreciate it.
