What a wierd car! It is the most qwerky thing I've ever seen! I've been in the car buisness for almost 15 years and have never driven such an odd car.

I love it!!

Really, it is so smooth and is a perfect mix of sport and comfort. The front of it is ok, the side is better and the rear kicks ass. That is the best looking rear end I've ever seen on a car.

Where the hell are the freakin cupholders? I've learned to get a small drink so that I can put it in that useless 3" by 8" tray between the seats, or between my seat and the E brake. However I did see a nice aftermarket set on Ebay.

The best thing is that you can spend $3000 to $6000 on one and people don't know if you paid $3,000 or $10,000 because of the traditional BMW styling.

Also being able to find just about any part on Ebay is a real plus, installation is a whole notha story though.

So thats about it, I have three cars of my own and 20 in my inventory and my E34 is the only one my ass has seen since I bought it.

BTW, this is a great forum and it nice that when people get flamed it's a light flame and not well done without getting over cooked.

So thats about it, thanks for all the help from some of you guys in pointing me in the right direction.

They're great cars. I still get people asking me to pay for lunch because they think I roll in money for what I drive. :nono

Seriously. A kid came up to me today and asked me to break a $100 for him. I just happened to have a few 20's in my wallet though, so he got lucky.

As for cupholders, get the "Ultimate Cupholders". Best for the buck.

I like the ultimate but I found this one on ebay. Kinda liked it better. It won't win a beauty contest but for $25 delivered.

Yea it seems so. Today was wierd every once and a while my blower motor whistles and when I crank it up it goes away.

Is this another "common E34 problem"?

I have cupholders. :shifty (never used them for anything other than to put my phone in there lol)

btw, this is like ~25 from bavauto ; they say it's supposed to be friction held on that lip, but I put 2 pieces of very thin double sided tape on the inside edges of it to hold it firm.

Lol, mine's friction held and it serves only as my phone holder as well.

Dont know about the smaller brothers to my M60. But every time i accelerate heavily, it sounds like a jet-turboprop spooling up! Sounds f'n badass! People ask is that normal? or WTF you got under there!!:D I just cant wait to get the stock exhuast off....:evil2

But i think its normal. What do u mean by crank it up? Turning on the car, or accelerating? Mine deff does not whistle when I turn it on...

No when the fan motor is on with either heat, A/C, or just the out side air there is a whistle/squeal coming from the glove box area. When I turn the fan speed to max it gets really loud and then tapers off.

Blower motor???

Yes, that's how mine is too, but I found that it doesn't really hold well on it's own ... so I made it more secure. Last thing I want is someone getting in the car, putting a drink in it and it falling off and spilling it's contents everywhere.

/off-topic

As far as the blower motor ... don't worry about it, as long as it works. We've had 4 e34s now and every single one made some distinct noise when it comes to the blower/the vent flaps and all.

Yea but this sound is soooo loud. I just wanted to confirm that it's the blower motor before I order one. I've seen them used for $75 and new for $220

What do you think?

mine makes no noise thats atypical

CWB you make me want a black E34. There was a guy at my office that had the same YR E34 today as mine, and the black made it look 10 years newer.

WHATS THAT??? I CAN'T HEAR OVER MY BLOWER MOTORS!!!

Its not too bad of a job to replace it. You can prolong its life with some silicone lube but it'll last for about 6 months. So far I've done it on both e28s that I've owned and my e34 had it done before I bought it. It will get worse and worse and eventually seize and then you'll get that lovely electrical smell
When I bought my current e28, the blower at full tilt would vibrate the dash so badly it made the CD player skip
:lol

There might be something in it. Yesterday I went through a 60 to 65 mph wind storm and as soon as I got through it it started screamin
