Just when I thought I grew out of street racing and was a mature adult with a fast car .............I get introduced to a certain car club ( whose name I must keep secret) that meets about 1 time a week and does these get together Sunday drives....

Personally, I try to get fast driving out of my system by karting and doing track days every weekend.....but like the rest of us...every once in a while I have to answer to my primal need to squeeze every bit of boost out of my car in the real world.......

So yesterday I arrived around 8 am to a parking lot somewhere in the Northeast. To my surprise it is full of Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porsches, BMW, even some muscle cars and an ATOM.......maybe 75 cars in all. These are mostly hard core enthusiasts who get together to appreciate and share their love for awesome cars.........plus a few crazies...... For the most part its spirited driving and then a lunch or BBQ to share stories...but for some of the attendees....its an all out balls to the wall blitzkrieg from check point to check points........the routes are well planned and are open with little traffic...which kept the terrorizing of the public down to a minimum.....once we hit the open highways before getting into back country roads it was .........nothing short of the Cannon Ball Run!!!!!!!!When the road permitted we stretched our legs to 140...150...160+.......I am sure some went faster cause there were some fast cars.....I am not a member or affiliated with the group and showed up as an invited guest of a friend. Not knowing the protocol...I eventually hooked up with the craziest 5 or so cars in the litter and past the lead car who we were suppose to stay behind....oh well....

Now I have been known to be a "crazier than most habitual speeder " all of my licensed life......never before have I been in such a large group of super fast cars driven by such disregard for the law. ( I know :nono). It was so much fun..........can not believe no one got arrested or ticketed. Happy to know there are sicker people out there than me...and I am part of a group!!:help

Where am I going with this.....First of, I am not condoning this kind of behavior at all. I know its dangerous and our disrespect for the safety of others could have ruined some peoples lives.....that being said..........The Eurosport Twinscrew is one wicked ass little shoe. It can hold its own with just about anything with 4 wheels on public roads ( that is not set up to be a 1/4 drag car) ...It will pull all the way up to 7200 rpm's in 5th gear. The car pulls like a freight train and I have to lift off the at 7200 because I am afraid the motor is going to blow up.

I did pulls with 360 Modena, chipped 996 TT ( 2003), Modified E 60's.......6.3 AMG etc.........all fast cars no doubt...but my little 400 hp at the wheels M coupe with the cams and 12 psi rips and stayed with them door to door so to speak.

Have to admit that I felt a little middle class in the company I was with...but after getting a chance to run the car in the real world where my track experience does not make a difference...just the right foot and the open road..........the car held its own. It was not the fastest car by any means of the word.....but it hung in there and was ready to stay int he fight like a scrappy little bull dog...

I wish I could tell you more details about how to find this crazy group of characters...but some things are better left unsaid to protect the guilty.

BMW's with Forced Induction are the coolest cars on the road. And when we are done with the urge to stomp the pedal...we can blend right back into the general public......

and the best was I was home in time to watch F1 :redspot

Great to hear that the TS can keep up with cars of such caliber. I am also glad to hear that no one got killed or anything. I completely understand the feeling though....

Sounds like a pretty bad @ss club.

That's a damn neat story. Sounds like you had a hell of an adventure!! Don't apologize for how you drove, we know you've got discretion and that the thirst for speed must be quenched!

Sounds like a lot of fun! I love my ES TS and with 14lbs of boost all I can say is :D! I'm glad there is not a group like that around here because I know I would get into way to much trouble :rolleyes.
Have fun and stay safe!
