have a uk spec 89 535i and looking into turboing the m30 so naturally i have questions.

basically im looking to push 300bhp from the m30 lump. Im looking to build a reliable, usable 300hp engine for my trailer queen can this be done?

im a fabricator by trade so making the manifolds and piping is not an issue, but i need more info on the technical side of forced induction on this engine.

from wat ive read my standard internals should be ok for this, and i have thot i may be able to utilise the intercooler piping from a 525 tds (i have one and its 2'' piping, and obviosly designed around a 6cylinder e34 too) does that sound feesable?

what cr does my engine run as standard i forget, will i require a new head gasket to address cr for turboing??

also i think bosch green injectors would be best for this, am i right?

management wise wats my options? standard? chip? megasquirt? most chips seam to raise rpm limit im not so keen for a straight6 to do so.

many thanks for any questions u can answer!! never turbod a car before so learning as i go here.

If your motor is in good runnign shape the HG should not be an issue although it does not hurt to refresh it :D
2" is small for that motor on is tubing
stock cr is 9.0.1 excellent for boosting the M30:buttrock
for 300 rwhp the stock injectors are ok for 9-10 psi
management wise for the budget use go M/s....for complete control
I use DTA

I am running split second 4"MAF and FTC-1 piggyback for fuel/timing control. 42# injectors and a MLS I ran 24 PSI. The FTC-1 was fairly simple to wire and tune.
