There was an autocross this weekend at Rantoul in Illinois. Unfortunately due to work I was only able to go out on Sunday, but all my friends said there was a silver E36 with painted moldings on Saturday who was running awesome times. Apparently it had cams/BBK/koseis and was running in SM. Just wondering if it was anyone here! :buttrock

FWIW, I placed first in BSP, but our class was combined with ASP/SS for whatever reason, and I was no competition for the slicked Viper/Z06 with awesome drivers. First time auto-xing the M3, ~15th time autocrossing ever, and it was fun!

Edit: here are some pictures for whoever it was

Nice pics!!

Yeah, that was me! :D (edit: pics were of co-driver)

My times were pretty bad (I get lost in the sea of cones) but my co-driver, Chris Goodwin, did an awesome job out there. He had the second fastest raw time of the day, behind a formula V open-wheel car. I don't autocross very much, usually attend/instruct HPDE track events, so I am not anywhere near built to SM rules. Might have had a few ppl stumped who had 285 hoosiers and more power (235/40-17 RA-1's here and only 246 rwhp). Still, great fun watching the car do well in capable hands. :)

Too bad we weren't there on the same day, always fun to meet other semi-local e36 nuts!

Awesome! A lot of my friends were really impressed with your car.

I had a co-driver also, it was actually my good friend from around here that has a supercharged E36. There was another 325 e36 there that was running pretty good. You should have went sunday!!
