So since I got the coupe i have:

1. got it inspected and passed. got some papers about out of state stuff

2. got it insured before it arrived

There are no plates on the car as of right now

Now do i just need to go to the tax office and register the car? Do I need any other papers? Obviously I don't have the title (at bank). I talked to some ppl and i might need a "bill of sale" which I don't really think I got from the seller (i can get it if needed, anyone know of the form online i could print?)

Since i bought it used, do i have to pay sales tax on this car for interstate movement?

Thanks for helping me out.

I used B of A form y Elise, they took care of all teh paper work. All i had to do was inspect it.

In your case. Did you ask for a Green Sheet?

I would call the bank and ask them. you cant register a car without a title. they will look at you and laugh

You need to fill out a Form 130-U and have the previous owner sign and date. Send him/her the PDF from the TX.DOT website and then have them send the signed one to you. Go buy a 30 day temp tag if you plan on driving around until all paperwork is done. I think they are around $25.00.
