Huge difference in pedal response. As the physics goes, the lines are stiffer and therfore won't expand as much as stock when pedal pressure is transmitted to the caliper. The result is instant force applice to the rotor. You will also get an improvement by just changing your brake fluid as moisture builds up in the lines which compresses more than hydraulic fluid. (and also rusts the lines from the inside) Antrieb 10-22-2007, 08:40 AM http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exec/product_id/1744/search_year/1989/search_model/26 I wanted to use M5 lines but these are pretty cheap and supposedly goodI had these and they were fine. In a lot of ways this is true, and supposedly it's recommended that you replace annually (or every couple of years, don't remember which). The only reason I've used it is it's really about the same price as the OE stuff. Goodrich is a reputable brand in the Stainless Braided Brake Lines business, though. leif 10-23-2007, 02:20 PM BMP kit. Gives a better/firmer pedal. Redfive 10-23-2007, 06:23 PM BMA can hook you up with a kit as well. I have that in my black car. My red car has Earl brake lines from BMP. Last spring one of the fittings cracked on me. I managed to make it home before the brakes gave out. bmwm3n528 10-23-2007, 08:57 PM BMP kit. Gives a better/firmer pedal. Any new brakes lines(stainless braided or OE) are going to give you firmer pedal feel. |
