I bit the bullet and decided to upgrade my rear brakes to discs. If anyone is in need of rear brake parts for their 2002 please let me know.
I have drums that have been powder coated black, shoes in great shape, all springs, clips, wheel cylinders and backing plates. All parts were purchased new about 40K miles ago and are still in great condition.
I will take some pics as soon as I get a chance if there is interest.

Which disc set up did you get? Dave Varco? I was thinking of the same for mmy '02. Thanks.

If that would be Dave of Aardvarc racing, then yes. He sold me the kit sans the hubs. I had my OEM rear hubs turned down to the OD he specified and am waiting the kit to arrive.
If my 02 still seems a little hard to stop, then I will most likely be selling my 320i vented rotors and 633 calipers and purchasing a massive brake kit.
Personally I feel the 11.75" rotors and 6 piston Wilwood calipers will be over kill. But with 300 RWHP my car is becoming increasingly more difficult to decelerate after bursts of high boost.
I plan to test a few different brake pad compounds as suggested by the massive brake kit manufacturer before going completely overboard.
I am also planning to go from 195/50 to 205/50-15 tires on the front wheels to increase my contact patch ever so slightly. Unfortunately, I cannot find many 15 inch tires wider than 225/50 for the rear.

Bump for the Holidays!
I will make anyone with an 02 a sweet deal because I just want these parts out of my garage.
