At least it is just a warning, but now I'm in the system as violating for a loud exhaust.

I mean, what are you chances of getting pulled over again? :stickoutt JaredM3 10-18-2007, 10:57 PM Cops will never pull over harleys, but they bag repli racer rockets all the time...I wonder why? Never heard of anyone with a old muscle car gettin ganked either... dave96dcm 10-18-2007, 11:13 PM I have a 1996 Impala SS that is real loud, never got pulled over at all for anything. vs60r 10-18-2007, 11:24 PM That sucks. Had some really loud exhausts on a couple of my prior DSMs, and never got pulled over for them. Although one time a state inspection guy refused to take my car because he thought my exhaust was too loud... S.A.B. 10-19-2007, 12:28 AM Garbage. He could have been bagging crack dealers in the time he spent bothering you. axthrower 10-19-2007, 06:32 AM Ussually pulling someone over for a loud exhaust is done to try to find other violations.. seatbelts, drugs in the car, etc.. dave96dcm 10-19-2007, 08:07 AM I just pulled out of a movie theater, I shifted at like 2k rpm, I was doing like 27 in a 30, he didn't look around the car at all, he just wanted to give me a ticket for exhaust. There are a crapload of drug dealers in Fitchburg that he could be busting. bmxcm 10-19-2007, 10:22 AM that blows dude, if u were driving like that he was definitely looking for something else. o, and define too loud:D and this was in the burg too!?! that place is wicked shady, my buddy went to school there and he said he heard shots fired like weekly. vertius 10-19-2007, 01:27 PM I got a warning last year in my '84 GTI using a straight exhaust. The car is totally stripped and loud as hell. He was on the side of the highway and I cruised by him. I knew I wasn't speeding, but he pulled me over. He is looking at my car with the interior completely gone, one seat and no dash. He thought I stole it. :D Anyway, he didn't have anything on me, so he wrote up a warning for loud exhaust & no front plate. Another time, in my '95 GLX VR6, a cop in Fall River pulled me over for loud exhaust. I couldn't believe it! He was literally 1/4 mile away and spotted me out of a bunch of cars. I punched it while I was under an overpass and the Remus echoed like crazy. No warning, he gave me a ticket. I couldn't argue because he was so right and I was so wrong.:D GarrettSR5 10-19-2007, 03:57 PM My dad has a 68 El Camino SS with a BBC in it and straight pipes. No ones ever bothered him. My stupid friend has a Focus with a lame ass can and he gets bothered all the time. m3saloon 10-19-2007, 07:54 PM the dirty burg... oh and btw i love the way ur exhaust sounds dave96dcm 10-19-2007, 11:10 PM Thanks, I do too. Arctic330i 10-20-2007, 12:26 AM Heard the exhaust today, definitely NOT loud lol. iamhydrogen 10-20-2007, 03:44 AM Another time, in my '95 GLX VR6, a cop in Fall River pulled me over for loud exhaust. I grew up across the river in somerset and my buddy and I use to take his stripped/built LS1 camaro ss out to 'the ave' to rip through the overpass at the 195 end and then out to the straight near shaws (and the harbor mall) at the end of the road. Ah those were the days....being young and re-freakin-tarded :stickoutt dave96dcm 10-20-2007, 06:59 AM Heard the exhaust today, definitely NOT loud lol. Yeah I know, the cop was definitely being a dink. vertius 10-20-2007, 06:53 PM lol, yeah it was Plymouth Ave. I was coming off of 195 West and took the Ave exit. I took a left and stomped on it while under the overpass. The cop was literally at the gas station near the next set of lights (I think Rodman St.). My VR6 was really loud, but I had to give the cop credit for nailing my punk ass, from so far away. :D HAHA Were you by any chance driving on Plymouth Ave when this happened?? He asked one that was at a local starbucks how he got his sargent agree to let him put screaming eagle straight pipes on his POLICE harley (because of knoledge he knew they were not allowed) The cop replied "dont worry your self about them" JUST LIKE YOU NEVER SEE A COP WITH A FREAKING INSPECTION STICKER!!!!!! even on there personal cars. i do work on a boston (state trooper) detective's car and he put a braw on his personal vehicle right over the front plate so all u could se was the bottom inch of white. I was like "you just slapped it right over your plate?" his reply "yep, well i can" Bolidoendiablad 10-23-2007, 04:53 PM we all should get a Bimmerforum lawyer to take care of these nuisances.... djmatty 10-23-2007, 04:56 PM we all should get a Bimmerforum lawyer to take care of these nuisances.... we have two in this subforum....well, a lawyer, and a lawyer-to-be...
