View Full Version : Thank you stranger...
jbd5015 10-18-2007, 05:58 PM Someone put a hardcopy of an ETM under the windsheild wiper of wolfie this morning. I have no idea who it was, but its for an 84 633csi, which is perfect for me, 1 year difference isnt that much.
No name, no number, nothing but the manual.
So thank you stranger!

wokke 10-18-2007, 06:13 PM what a nice move.
jbd5015 10-18-2007, 07:36 PM Yea, and not to even leave a name or number to contact to say thanks or anything! Shows they must've had one and had to part with it, but forgot to give the next owner the ETM. What a caring bunch the E24 owners are/were.

I'd be sure to thank you publicly if you were to send me those gold centered BBS 17's. I had a set on my first black car (not this one).

:D
Those are Fikse FM10's on your car, right?
dm635 10-19-2007, 07:06 PM Jeff, send him/her my way and drop off an 86 ETM. I do have a copy of one made from plain paper and bound, but someday might start loosing pages.
I handed off my e30 ETM and Bentley to a bud up in INDY that has an e30 and a very nice 2002 getting an M42 transplant. We did some other trading and I ended up with a couple wagon loads of 6er parts.
jbd5015 10-19-2007, 07:22 PM Sounds like a fair trade! I met a guy the other day that shoe-horned an M20 into a 2002. Quite the feat of engineering! Doesnt look like it should be in there, but somehow he did it without having to cut holes in the firewall and noseclip.
This etm is quite nice though, its nice to not have to look at the computer screen when looking at the diagrams.

dm635 10-19-2007, 09:03 PM The 02 this guy has is one of those little old lady finds. He decided to upgrade power after his son threw a rod through the block. He's also a bit of a perfectionist and all parts needed for the conversion are done using BMW parts. Including having to install a rack from a 320 since the oil pan blocked the original steering. I need to go up soon and help him with the electrical part. Might end up having to a couple times.
His next project is taking the 3.5 from the 6 he had and dropping it in an old(but also clean & rust free) Datsun 240Z. He wonders what to call it and I recommended a Z-mmer.
sixseries 10-19-2007, 09:19 PM Z-mmer. thats brilliant

Lsixer 10-20-2007, 10:38 PM Holy $hit Ray!
What a piece of work .....
Im curious, your front air damn does not look OEM. What is it, where did you get it? Looks VERY cool.
rlkrlk 10-20-2007, 10:43 PM Not mine at all, if you are talking about the twin turbo. :D
That's Paul Cain's car, along with the 3.8CSi he put together. http://38csi.com/
I think the air dam is styled after the turbo one.
Cheers,
Ray (sorry for the thread hijack)
