Just giving you guys a heads up that the on several occasions I have seen cruisers sitting in medians or by on and off ramps late at night WITH NO LIGHTS ON. Not even parking lights. Usually on 93 or 95.

So be careful when taking those midnight drives, those bastards are sneaky and you can't see them at all.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but isn't this illegal for cops to do this because it's a safety hazard. I thought when they are parked they have to have their parking lights on, even when conducting a speed trap.


I have actually have a cop follow me when driving to a friends house with no headlights on at midnight. Granted it was only through the neighborhood, but I love how they get away with this crap.

its a new law in mass that has been passed in the cops favor... they NO longer need to sit and be seen. They do NOT need to have any lights on at any time when on traffic duty.. which is bullshit. but if you have an extra 200bux they sell a cop GPS thing haha you sneek around and stick these tracysers under the town cop bumpers and you can see where they are on your GPS.

HAHAHAHAHA.... yea, i got hit last night... ripped around an on-ramp onto storrow, then buried the throttle. 90mph and still standing on the gas when I saw him pulled off in one of those little side bump-outs on storrow (40mph) with no lights on. All I could see was a slight silhouette of the cruiser, and a figure standing next to it.

He got in his cruiser, and reeled me in without the light bar on. As soon as I saw him come up, I signaled and pulled over with the hazards on... he didn't even get to turn the light bar on until i was over.

He was pretty friendly, and only wrote up for doing a few mph over 60.... i figure it was cause i pulled over so nicely into another bump-out area.

I asked him if the sox won.

The girl I was out with for the night last night likes fast cars, so she was begging to do a rip down a couple roads right beforehand.... lol. It was a good evening. :) ;)

What's funny though is that on 93 and 495. At 11ish and around then. People will be flooring it. Regular SUV's going 100. No cops. Especially on 495 all the cops at night are to busy sitting in their car watching the construction workers.

Fine by me allows me to go 95.

well if they r gonna sit there with no lights on....take your gf's car (obv. don't wanna fuck up ya bimmer) and plow the shit out of them. And say you were pulling over cause you thought you had a flat tire but couldn't see them because they had no lights on at all... =)

Some spots I see 'em:

Rt3 - Car off road just past overpass - Outside car w/radar-laser.
95/128 - just before/after overpass up in grass in cloverleaf.
95/128 - also deep in rest stops in back keeping the pervs out and catching us 80+'ers.
24 - In LEFThand breakdown near jersey barriers.
MassPike - anywhere they can fit a car off on right (but there are only about 20 places between 128 and 495 if you know 'em.

I'm sure there are many more - but those are the ones I keep seeing.

Do the police/troopers up in Boston and the surrounding areas use a lot of Laser? Is my V1 going to be useless or less effective? I don't really go blasting through freeways anymore anyway...

He's DOT, theres an Econoline van same deal no markings or antennas. They usually hang out around the cloverleaf at 93/95 in wob to bust trucks in the 3rd lane.

you guys think thats bad... i dont know about anywhere else but here on long island especially in Nassau County we have tons of taxis that used to be old cop cars or that look like cop cars... all white with the search light on the side etc...

anyway going to the mall a few days ago i see a taxi pulled over to the side behind a car.. .i figured the taxi rear ended the dude upfront... well it turned out it was an undercover cop...

thats bullshit he had the taxi light/sticker in his rear window... everytime i see those taxis i zoom by them now i cant... so be carefull

ahhhh...and they're not required to have a driving test...although stats show that the killing rate on drivers over 70 y.o. is 3 or 4 times higher than a 16 y.o. (who pays more insurance on a cheaper car)

Exactly, as a young driver I get very pissed when someone uses my age as something against me. I am by no means perfect, and I don't claim to be the best driver, but some of people I see driving do NOT belong on the road. Yet I'm the one that has to pay higher insurance rates because of my age.

I am convinced some woman on her cellphone driving a 2 and half ton SUV is a much bigger threat to everyone on the road, than me in my 1983 BMW with barely 100hp regardless if I'm going 10 over the speed limit.

Old people need to be retested when they reach a certain age. No one should be allowed to drive while on the phone. Not just teens, but EVERYONE.

A bunch of teens get into accidents and they just make the rules stricter but it doesn't fix anything. They are still going to drive on the phone, and have passengers when they are still restricted. Make the driver education better.

Driver's ed was a joke. I'm just responsible enough and appreciate driving not to do stupid shit, but I can certainly see why my peers absolutely suck at driving. It makes me look bad.

It's rare, but I see them pointed down the offramps sometimes, watching for speeders after they pass by...more than once I have looked over my shoulder and...
