could a 10-15mph bump to the front end into a compact dirt bank dislodge anything vital in the engine?

so heres the story, i hit the bank at about 10-15mph and the engine stalled out. i turned the key and it started, the fan belt was squeeling like a pig! i drove to a pull out about 40 feet from where i crashed, at this point white (yes white) smoke was coming outt of my engine bay. i fiddle around trying to free the fan from the radiator and a piece of metal stopping it. i then try starting the engine again, all it does is turn over, thats it. so once i had tried turning it over a few times (batt is pretty much dead at this point) i decided to bump start it. 2nd clutch in, hand brake off, key to "on", start drifting down the road a bit, then pop the clutch. nothing but really really really bad grinding and what sounded like crunching... so i got a flat bed tow truck home.

Could soemthing internal have been dislodged and screwed with when i crashed? i haven't had time to look carefully yet but will tomorrow.

Any ideas or thoughts would be helpful, need some people to bounce ideas off of...

You could have damaged your oil pan in the front. Get a good thorough look at everything before you try and start it again.

So the fan was hitting the radiator? I assume it hit the radiator and caused a leak, that's why you were seeing white smoke...
I suppose it's also possible that it bent the water pump shaft (on which it's attached), thereby causing the grinding noise. Can you freely turn the fan? When you crank the engine, does the water pump pulley turn, or does the belt just slip over it?
It would be strange if anything internal to the engine got damaged from such a slow hit. I'd say first look for visually obvious damage.
