noob owner of a '00 e39 540i with xenon low beams. what are my options to get the projector style headlamps in black? do most people get the angel eye option or should i go old skool and go without the angel eyes for a faster and simple install? Hacking into my wiring harness with a bunch of wiretires looks like a mess to me (from a couple of google website hits).

Just buy a 9006 plug and play HID kit. You should be good to go!

Habbie should be able to hook you up.
