Thought this was neat...

Its a good thing they stopped giving those out as soon as they realized how long their engines lasted, or they'd go broke just from making them! lol.

Most of the people in the e21 section would probably have one by now.

Hey,

In one day I will be crossing over the 200,000 mile marker.
Are there any badges out there for this group?

Yeah thats what I thought when I saw it, probably for bikes. 100k on a car means the break-in is over and you can start really driving it!

yea 100k on a motorcycle is pretty damn high...i work on bikes and pretty much the only ones that reach anywhere near 100k are police bikes

haha that's funny - i didn't know BMW ever did that. I know Mercedes did - they give you a horseshoe to put on your grille after you reach 100,000 miles, if i'm not mistaken.

I used to do towing. We had to do an accident where a guy had an early 80's Goldwing and some guy cut in front of him and crashed. He was so pissed off because he owned the bike since new and it has 98,000 miles on it and he wanted to hit 100k before he would even think about buying a new one (another Goldwing). I felt bad for the guy, his bike ran mint but the forks were bent and it wasn't worth fixing.

Reading that page, looks like it was from the dealership. But a BMW BIKE dealership. Not sure of the part number or if they are even still doing it. Might be worth investigting though...

Edit: Yup, found on Real OEM the part number for the regular roundel that goes there, but can't find one for the 100K miles. Might TRY later, but not worth the time now.
