Okay, so soon I will be having the shop install my H&R coilovers on my E36 Vert.
I also have a hardtop for it. I live in the Pacific NW, so it's pretty much a given that the hardtop will be on the car probably 6 months of the year.
So, when I have them set the rideheight of my coilovers, should I have them do it with the hardtop ON or OFF? I don't really see myself changing my ride-height twice a year, I'm more of the 'set it and leave it' type...
So, what do you all think?

the hard top is not that heavy so it should not make a
big difference... just set it up once and keep it that way
i would say.

A smalle quote....
Yes it's made of aluminium. Whole things ways just 30kg (aprox 65 pounds).
I really do not think it has any noticable difference with that low weight...

I agree. A hard top would not really effect the setting of your coilovers.

yeah, if you have any fatty friends that ride around with you, you'd be better off worrying about the ride height with them in the car rather than if the hardtop is on or not.
i had to pick up a large co-worker and she made my car bottom out over driveways & speed bumps. everytime it happened, she'd scream, "ooohh shit!" i was just thinking, "yeah, no shit" the whole time. :banghead:
