Did you guys get the e-mail from BMW NA with the link to the BMW Performance Catalog?

http://www.bmwusa.com/NR/rdonlyres/D18A39A3-67AB-4A15-90EF-04ACEA63F79A/0/PerformanceParts_Catalog.pdf

There is NOTHING for the 335i!!!! Even the short shift kit is only for the NA E9Xs.

Most of it is for the E46.

For some strange reason I always think that there aren't a lot of mods for BMW.

I just went through the samething. Only performance option for the 335i coupe was wheels. I had my hopes up.

I was hoping for an ECU reflash or exhaust. Hell, the strut bar doesn't even fit for our cars.

There is always the JB1. If you guys want I'll do my best impersonation of the BMW dealer and mark the price up 400%. :devillook

Er..The shift knob and shift lever will fit the 6speed manual.
The M-Tuned suspension will fit the 335.
The Perf. Parts wheels fit the 335.

Oh wait. I didn't read it carefully enough.

I can get a shift knob. :rolleyes

I,m sure after the new M3 comes out and meets BMW sales expectations there will be plenty of performance options for the 335i. Just my opinion.

For the right amount of money, sure. You can buy aftermarket warranties for cars. Just let me know how much you'd like to pay. :)

You're right about the wheels and shift knob. I'd imagine the same for the suspension, unless the E90 has a different suspension geometry than the E92 which I doubt.

But for the SSK, it specifies "except 335i." I am assuming that the 335i most likely has a different transmission than the 325/328/330.

They also have the strut brace. Steel one is I think about $350, carbon fibre one about $900 I heard...

Yea, except the carbon one is, well, lets just says it's pretty. No too functional, but pretty.

The one for 350 is aluminum (strut tower brace) not steel. It, or the carbon fiber one isnt gonna make much, if any difference in handling that you will notice. Maybe if you drive your car at the very limit all the time you may notice it slightly. Not worth the money for what you get from it imo.

Expensive eye candy is what it is... just like everything else carbon fibre for street cars.

BMW wouldn't dare release it for the 335: it would put that car--especially a power-modded 335--too close to the M3 on the track for comfort.

Lots of aftermarket suspension mods out there. My Bilstein coilovers were the best money I could have spent; the car actually drives like a real BMW. Stiffer sway bars, and they are out there, would also be a huge help.
IMHO BMW will never treat this as a performance car because they couldn't justify the extra $$$ for the M3.

I suspect BMW will catch up in the tuning products they offer for the E90 quickly. Remember that lots of E46 owners are just that (owners) now and they can mod freely versus all the leased E90's which clients are more hesitant over.

There's also 7 years of E46's out and 3 years of E90's. They had to get the E46 stuff to market first.
