Just painted hte stockers for now. They were stained with brake dust and the black matches better. The Z looks good, Dustin....more pics!!:buttrock You will see AND HEAR it on Sunday. PJ325i 10-17-2007, 02:08 PM You all have fun!! I'll be in Florida . . . I'll be picking up my tow vehicle. Mike . . . time for you to get your dually :) 8ball 10-18-2007, 12:52 PM I'm steady looking while I'm here all I have to do is budget in some concrete to lay down on the side of the house since the "wife" says I don't have anywhere to park it. I keep telling her I can get a double axle trailer and the dually down the side of the house but she complains it will be on the grass. So I'm gonna fix that technicality. Problem is I want too many toys now. I gotta get DD fun car to replace the 540 which I had intended to be an LSx monster of some gene strand but I do still need a tow pig and they will roughly cost the same so I think I gotta sacrifice. I tell ya what I'll get a trailer and you get the tow pig. Make sure it can pull a 5th wheel double car trailer tho. :) 8ball 10-18-2007, 12:55 PM Hey I just thought of something PJ, what do you need a tow vehicle for????? You don't even race anymore!!!!! You havent made a single event all year with the exception of the one you brought a NON MODIFIED car to. I atleast made a face appearance. :p PJ325i 10-18-2007, 01:01 PM LOL She told me about the grass thing . . . :rofl2 I'm just getting a little Dakota . . . nothing much more than that. It tows up to 5000lbs. With the trailer I had in mind . . . the trailer and car combo won't exceed 3500lbs . . . And just in case (unlike your car lot), I can use it as a daily drive when I put the T-88 on the GTO :rofl PJ325i 10-18-2007, 01:21 PM Hey I just thought of something PJ, what do you need a tow vehicle for????? You don't even race anymore!!!!! You havent made a single event all year with the exception of the one you brought a NON MODIFIED car to. I atleast made a face appearance. :p Then I have done better than you with my NON-MOD car :rofl I'm getting ready for more than just autocross . . . Now you know why I need a tow vehicle :) Besides . . . I needed something to go and get my other projects after the BMW is done. . . . :evil2 8ball 10-18-2007, 01:39 PM Don't think I won't daily drive a dually slammed on bags now. I don't care if it gets 8mpg I'd still rock it just about anywhere and dare ppl to pull out in traffic. Time is on my side tho because the longer I'm away the cheaper the chevy crew cabs get that I want. I just probably have to alot money for a new motor right off the bat but a slammed truck is in my not so distant future again, it's just gotta be useable which means it's just gotta be a dually. Anyway, back to Eurofest hope all you guys enjoy it and hopefully there will be a good BMW representation at the AutoX like last year. PJ325i 10-18-2007, 02:00 PM Sounds like the mini truck days are coming back . . .only in a big dually. . .LOL Do I see an 8.1L V8 in that Chevy or the 6.6 DuraMax diesel???? I'll be in Florida picking up my truck . . . I figure can miss one since I have done EuroFest for last 5 years . . . 8ball 10-18-2007, 02:07 PM Haha I just deleted my entire reponse about what engine I'd like to put in a dually because it was too far OT from the thread but yeah I can't have anything stock. Only reason that 540 is still 100% stock is because it's just to damn expensive to play with. Have a safe drive down there and hopefully this weekend goes better than last for ya. BimmerBoyZ3 10-18-2007, 08:59 PM I may make an appearance but dont think Im gonna run. Ive gotta be back in Columbia to do some family stuff with the woman, but I'll def come by so you can see the car John. JByrd 10-22-2007, 10:43 AM Guys.....Dustin's Z3 really looks good. I'm gonna miss that red top, but I gotta' say that silver and black is dyamite. Looks mean....but still pretty stealth. Very clean. BimmerBoyZ3 10-22-2007, 11:23 AM Guys.....Dustin's Z3 really looks good. I'm gonna miss that red top, but I gotta' say that silver and black is dyamite. Looks mean....but still pretty stealth. Very clean. Thanks for the great word John. The car needs a wash and an HMS bar. :devillook But Im pretty please with the direction the car is heading. Congrats to you John also for winning the SCR-SCCA STS2 Championship! :buttrock 8ball 10-22-2007, 12:10 PM Somebody's gotta stop that guy. Congrats!!! PJ325i 10-23-2007, 03:24 PM Congrats, JB. . . .!! I don't think anyone can at this point . . . :) BimmerBoyZ3 10-24-2007, 10:12 AM Congrats, JB. . . .!! I don't think anyone can at this point . . . :) It came down to the wire, last even, 2 points seperated John and Matt. After the event, they were tied, but John had more top rankings so he took the crown. I may try to harrass him a little next year. Depends on how soon I start the build on my motor. |
