whats up yall? i have an issue with my heater vents on my 83. when i go to turn the knob to open up my vents they dont open up fully, which in turn is not letting the warm air get into the cabin. is this as simple as replacing the knob or do i have to get behind there and figure shit out. and if i have to get behind there how do i remove that panel section.

Just sounds like a vent control just popped off. It may have come off at the control panel or at the vent itself. Not too hard to fix in either case.

on my 83 the cable disconnected at the knob. to get access take the center console out and you should be able to see up under the dash. or you could just follow the cable and manually turn the valve at the firewall.
