I'd use atleast a 245 width tire on that width rim.

A 255 wide tire would fit without a problem as well.

i used a 265/30 but it rubs

235 will fit but the lip will stick out further than then tire.

It will work, but it won't be optimal.

Plus it will be VERY easy to get curb rash since there is absolutely nothing protecting the rim.

i agree, you need that you need to get a tire that "fits" well so you get some curb protection also.

I have 235/35/19's on my 19x9, the lip is totally exposed and the sidewalls are stretched. Looks pretty german stylie though.

well I couldnt go any wider than 235 cos of inner rubbing..
its been fine for me..
