ok, this is my first car to learn about. i have a pretty good handle on how CIS works. wondering...when you switch to carb setup do you need to keep the fuel sending unit (intank pump, main pump, accumulator, filter)?? i know you ditch the AFM. don't know much about carbs. sorry such a newbe question. i am learning. thanks.

Carbs require much much less pressure and flow. Some have used just the in-tank pump for carb setups. Some have used both pumps looping back to the tank with a restriction to get the 5 psi or so that you need. The obvious choice is the cube shaped pump they sell at all the autoparts stores for ~$30. If it was me I would install an SU pump from a british car. The design is a bit silly but they work great and are much longer lasting and make a less irritating sound than those cube type.
