lol yeh atleast the oil pan doesnt leak no more.

i had a good run with the e21 till recently, maybe had the car running flawlessy for about 8 months then it all started when i threw out a drive shaft bolt, fuel guage started playing up, then oil pan has hairline crack, then this

the domino effect has started again....

I doubt it's the gearbox. It sounds more like a release bearing to me.

I wouldn't discount the gearbox, but it could be the release bearing. You'll never know until you drop it and dismantle it.

are they sleeving it for you? if you need a hand with the box give me a yell and if im free i will help you. could be that your leakin master cylinder is stopping the clutch from engaging all the way.

did you get a price on a new master? quite often there isnt much difference in cylinder costs.

yeh brand spanking new master cylinder costs 140 bucks. the guy who rebuilt my master cylinder said mine wasnt too bad so he only charged me 44 bucks
