After 1 and a 1/2 month of waiting, I finally picked up my car ( 2008 328i Alpine White...:cool ). It was quite the experience. The dealer called me on Wed night asked me to come down to look at the car (still wrapped in white plastic). My gf and I spend 15 minutes taking picture of the wrapped car and another 10 minutes peeling all the plastic off the body. Both of us laughed the heck out of each other because we were having fun at the same time it was freezing cold outside.
Ahh.. the joy of owning a BMW

I'm jealous! Im still about a week or so away (my car ports in tomorrow) so I should be able to get it in a week or so... Its been a long long wait.

Well, we did pick the car together and she gave me the "stamp of approval" before I signed the purchase order so I hope she won't get jealous of 'her'.
Last year she did got annoyed at me when I spend about $400.00 on detailing (steam cleaning, vacuum, leather protection, engine shampoo) of my old car. The thing is that my old car is getting a bit dirty (and nasty) so I want to clean it before I start breathing in the gross things.

While with my wife and accelerating smartly through a pass in the Austrian Alps I said aloud "Go, Ilse, go!". She asked "You named your car?" I said "No, she already had a name, she just told me what is was!"
Do NOT name your car if your wife or gf has the ability to be jealous of a machine.:eek:

In other words don't name your car if you have a female significant other :D.
