View Full Version : how do you get the oem tail lights off? 325i 2 M3 10-13-2007, 05:07 PM how do you get the oem tail lights off a e36? i took off the cover and the 4 nuts from the bolts and they wont budge. im too afraid to push them out too hard. it seems like there are some hidden bolts or something, somewhere.. please help Jamil20 10-13-2007, 06:14 PM Just push hard. After the 4 bolts, that should be it. E36 PWR 10-13-2007, 09:35 PM 1.remove the black covers on each tail light. 2. locate bolts and remove them ( i believe their 10mm not 100% sure) 3. disconnect the plug 4. jiggle the taillight and push it out Rakshas 10-14-2007, 03:32 AM Tap the bolts with a rubber mallet. They've been in there for anywhere between 8 and 15 years, those seals have had plenty of time to attach themselves to the body rather firmly. |
