If I were to engage a Mustang GT ( 1999 or 2000 model ) with my M3 and given that all goes as it should, what is the likelyhood that he'll spank me? See my specs on my signature...

Just curious since the other night a Mustang was asking for it, but chose the wrong area ( usual speed trap neighborhood ).

Thanks.

You will definitely smoke a Mustang GT with those mods you got there assuming the Mustang is all stock. Stock for stock the two cars are pretty much identical so it would all come down to the driver.

With the mods listed in your sig, you should be able to run close to or at the mid-13 second range in the 1/4 mile. The Mustangs do have more power and torque, but they are also fairly heavy.

You will put about a car length or two, to about 80 MPH.

Raced a newer GT 4.6 (don't know the year) on the hwy a couple of months ago. From 80 to 130+ he was MANY cars back. I'm mostly stock engine wise.

I have got a stock '98 M3 and have ran a 14.8 at LACR (Palmdale). Would I be able to beat a '99 Mustang GT with Flow Master and K&N Filter?

Stock Mustang GT's (99 and newer) will be a close race with E36 M3's. I'd even give the slight advantage to the Mustang GT cuz in drag racing torque forgives lots of sins...

If it's a completely stock Auto, you shouldn't have any problems. Manuals will pose more of a challenge depending on the driver. Modded ones, with the usual bolt-ons(exhaust, gears, and under drive pulleys), will more than likely show you their taillights with a competent driver. It's hard to tell which ones are modded and which are not. My car for example looks stock. Except for a slight drop and the exhaust sound, you'd think you were up against a stocker.

Pourky, flowmasters only give the dawg a bigger bark with hardly any bite. I don't know where or at what altitude LACR is, so i'm not going to knock on you times, but stock, 99+ Mustangs run anywhere between 14.0-14.5. Don't know if your car is auto or 5sp. If it's a 5sp, i would think that all you need to do is learn to drive a bit more.

smoked a 01 GT the other day...was fun to see the look on his face like..."wtf?" Too many underestimate the power of the ///M...

AngelGT2000, what kind of mods do you have done to your GT? I was just curious because of your times in your sig.
